Deliverer Answers You Safely! (D.A.Y.S)

Ramesh C. Reddy

Managing Editor

Hi everyone :)

May you know that you can call on the Lord any of the days and He is waiting with open loving arms! Amen!

Announcements:

New Hope Christian Community is located on North Dithridge Street right opposite to Webster Hall and St. Paul's Cathedral church on Fifth Ave and will be having a POT LUCK LUNCH after church this Sunday, Sept 01, 02. The worship service starts at 11:00 a.m.

Quiet Times (Psalm 90, Proverbs 30, and Mark 5)

“Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should.” (Psalm 90:12)

I saw 3 requests the Psalmist asked of the Lord here:

1. TEACH us to number our days.

2. TEACH us to recognize how few they are.

3. HELP us to spend them as we should.

What stuck out in my mind was request #3. “Help us to spend them as we should.”

It is a prayer asking for the Lord’s help to intervene in their lives so all their living will be done for the glory of the Lord. That is why there is not even a hint of ‘I want to live my life the way I want to’ instead it is dependent on the Lord.

Even numbering of our days and recognizing how few they are is dependent on the Lord.

I saw important implications for my own life.

There are many times I want to do my own thing regardless of the area of life it is in. Instead I need to stop and ask the Lord for His teaching and help for my life not only sometimes but always.

If it were up to me, I would love to work with the PITT-IVCF chapter once more in the EXEC capacity but it should not be about what I want even though some things that happened have been painful. Originally, I thought it is what the Lord wanted of me. It has not happened so maybe it is not of the Lord or it is of the Lord and the timing is not right.

I am reminded to keep focusing on the Lord and have a ruthless trust in Him no matter what happens. I need to remember to focus on the Lord seeking His Kingdom first. I need to do everything for the glory and honor of the Lord. I need to work hard and cheerfully for the Lord in everything I do and leave the results in the Lord’s Hands.

It helps me a lot as I ask the Lord to teach me and help me through life and His love will get me through. Yesterday night I was able to apply the S.T.O.R.M.S devotional I had, directly in my life because of stuff that happened. The pain did not go away but I kept telling myself, “I need to trust in the Lord and praise Him!”

Jesus kept bringing the promise, “Let not your heart be troubled, you are trusting God now trust in me” to my mind."

I ask you now dear friend, what happened to your days?

Dear friend, we can spend our days as we want them to or spend them by asking the Lord to teach us and help us through each day so our lives will reflect His glory. The Lord has an awesome instruction manual to teach us and help us to live the way we should. If your days are spent doing your own thing, it does not have to be that way anymore. Jesus wants to and can put the pieces of your life back together just as He has been working in my life. Won’t you come and trust in Him too if you are not? He reaches out to you where you are at. He knows what you are going through and His love is reaching. When you are not sure what to do next, know that the Lord awaits to give wisdom each day of the day. When you know what to do, know that the Lord waits to confirm what you need to do. Oh yes, He does!

Our days are few and it is best spending them to get to know the Lord Jesus in a personal way in our lives and make the Lord known in other people’s lives. That is the best thing we can do and be remembered for our love for the Lord that everything was an outflow of our love.

May you know the Lord is watching over you and desires to teach you and help you through life! Why not just ask Him? Deliverer answers you safely! Oh yes, He does! His ways are not our ways but are the best ways! Amen!

Deliverer Answers You Safely!/"What happened to your days?"

The song that came to my mind was 70*7 by David Meece!

Prayer:

Jesus, there are so many times I just wish I can force back the hands of time and right every wrong. But Lord, sometimes that is not just possible. Oh how much wishing we do, some things cannot be changed. But you Oh Lord are a merciful God and show your grace in our lives amidst the circumstances too. For that we are thankful Lord Jesus. Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are. Help us to spend them as we should. My Deliverer, I thank you for answering us safely and you can take our pain. For I need that from you Lord.  I love you Jesus! Please help us to get to know you and seek your face. Help us to make you known. Give us the wisdom Oh Lord to endure through the pains that we face during different times of the day. I thank you that you will! We thank you for your grace and mercies. We turn our lives over to thee and ask thee to work in us. Thank you for your working in our lives. Thank you for hearing us and answering us. Thank you for dying for our sins and coming back to life to save us. We are sorry for our sins and ask for your forgiveness and help in our lives. I thank you Jesus for your help. In Your Name I Pray Jesus! Amen!

Love in Christ,
Ramesh
