Deliverer Offers Omnipotent Redemption!" (D.O.O.R)

Hi everyone :)

May you know the "I AM" of your life this Christmas season! Amen!

Quiet Times (Psalm 36 and John 10:9)

“Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.” (Psalm 36:5)

“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” (John 10:9)

Jesus starts out with stating that He is the ‘I AM’ to the Pharisees once again. Then Jesus adds on ‘THE DOOR’.

Jesus lets them know if anyone enters by Him, two things will happen:

  1. They will be saved!
  2. They will go in and out and find pasture!

This is because Jesus states, “I am the door.”

I found it interesting that Jesus offers them too Salvation. For He tells them ‘if anyone’ which includes all of them too.

This is very significant because Jesus is letting them know it does not matter how well they are versed in Scripture if they do not enter through the right door. Jesus is the only One that claimed to be the Door for people to be saved.

This is exciting because this tells me that those that came before Jesus and after Jesus are not ways to Heaven but only through Christ. Jesus is the Only One that claims people have to be saved through Him.

I have a feeling the Pharisees had experience with people being saved by way of a door. They could recall God revealing Himself to Moses as ‘I Am’ and giving Moses a commandment so judgment would pass over those who have entered through the door.

You see they knew that doors that were covered in blood were passed over by the Angel of death and those that entered through those doors were kept safe. This is evidenced by:

“Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs. The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you ate; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.” (Exodus 12:7,13)

Now Jesus claims to be the Door for all to be saved. In other words I see Jesus telling them if they enter through Him, judgment will pass over them and no destructive plague I like to think of as Hell will touch them when judgment is pronounced over the world. People outside of Jesus will not be saved is Jesus’ message to them.

I saw important implications for my own life.

It is only through Jesus Christ can I be saved. The awesome thing is that it is promised that I will go in and out and find pasture. When I think about pasture, I am reminded about luscious green and usually green symbolizes life. I need to enter through the DOOR so Jesus can save me and I can belong to Him.

I ask you now dear friend what door do you enter through?

Dear friend, there are many doors that people can go through but Only One Door can lead to Salvation. It is in Jesus Christ for He claims to be the Door for Salvation. Friend, whether you are a Hindu, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, etc you need to ask yourself if you are following the Absolute Truth.

Deep inside don’t we all want to be on the side of Truth?

Jesus Himself claimed that those that came before Him were not Truth. Jesus is offering Himself as the Door for our Salvation this Christmas season. For me that is exciting to know especially since our shortcomings are not used to prevent us from coming to Jesus. Even when we are following another religion, Jesus does not abandon us but shows us the Ultimate Truth.

Have you ever watched ‘Let’s make a Deal’ which is an old game show?

There are 3 doors and only one door leads to the ultimate prize. Jesus is offering you a deal for your Salvation. But you need not guess for He plainly reveals Himself to you!

Jesus is giving that Truth to the Pharisees regardless of how many wrongs Jesus had seen them do. He offers Himself to you and me too for our Salvation regardless of where we have been. That is exciting friend!

The question becomes are we willing to accept Jesus as the Door to find green pasture?

I came to the point that following other people’s religion will not save me even if it is the religion of Christianity. What I mean is just because someone is born into a Christian family does not save them if they have not made Jesus Christ their personal Lord and Savior.

I needed to come to the point of owning my faith and believing with all my heart no matter what happens to me, how wrong things have gone in my life, how right they have gone in my life, etc “Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.”

That means if He is the door then, He will remain the door today for Salvation. It does not change.

Deliverer Offers Omnipotent Redemption! (D.O.O.R)/”What door will you enter through?”

May you come to the Lord Jesus as you are this Christmas season and may you share His love with those around you! Amen!

Prayer:

Dear Jesus you claim to be the Door. Lord, I need you as my Door for only your entrance will save me. Lord, I have been locked out so many times being trapped in my own sin and shortcomings. It means a lot that you have chosen to offer your Salvation to the likes of me and so many others with so much baggage. Thank you Jesus. Please Jesus now as I come to you, I ask you to please clean me on the inside and make me a new creation. I need that Lord for sin has had a hold on me. I thank you once I am in your care, you will take care of me. I thank you Lord for promising me about finding green pasture. Please Jesus come into my heart and make my heart your home. Live in me Jesus and I will live for you and serve you the rest of the days of my life. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. I acknowledge you as my Lord and Personal Savior this day and give myself completely to you. I come with all my shortcomings knowing I cannot change on my own but you can help me through it all. I thank you Jesus. I love you Jesus. Thanks for loving me and dying for my sin. Thank you for not giving up on me. This means a lot to me. Thank you for hearing my prayer and answering me. Whatever your will, please give me the willingness and strength to bear it! Thank you Jesus! Amen!

Love in Christ,
Ramesh
