come to know the awesome mercies of the Lord and His everlasting grace for He
will direct your steps! Amen!
Quiet
Times (Psalm 80, Proverbs 20, & Matthew 20)
“Why try to understand everything
that happens along the way, since the Lord is directing our steps.” (Proverbs
20:24)
This verse is so comforting and reassuring to me when I
read it and put it to practice because I am reminded that the Lord is in control
and no matter what happens along the way, He is directing my steps. There is no
reason for me to rack my brain to try to figure things out until I am satisfied
even through the hurt and pain for they have been a lot of areas I wish I could
change back. Yet, I know it is my fault that certain things happen. The Good
News is that I know the Lord has not abandoned me but even through it all is
directing my steps.
It is in moments of doubt and confusion that we
need to remember that the Lord is directing our paths and not just when things
are going okay. This is the lesson I learned and this promise from the Lord
assures me :)
I ask you now dear friends, what
about your steps?
Dear friend, it can seem easy for us to try to figure
things out for ourselves when we don’t understand why things are happening the
way they do but the Lord Jesus wants us to remember that He is still there for
us. He is directing our steps and will bring us where we need to be even though
we feel we have messed up and have taken the wrong steps. He is the Creator of
the Universe and can change our circumstances around as He chooses.
I cannot understand why some things happen as they do
when we don’t want them to happen that way. But our Lord does not want us to
live in misery but to depend on Him and yield to Him. No matter what you are
facing don’t try to understand everything that is happening your way but know
and understand that the Lord is directing your steps through the pain to as you
yield to Him.

Prayer:
Dear Jesus, I want to thank you so
much for your Word. You Oh Lord, remind us that you are directing our steps and
we need not try to understand everything that happens along the way. Lord, you
know the times we are discouraged and do not know where we stand but we thank
you for your promises and no weapon formed against us will prosper you say in
your Word. Help us to hold on to you Lord and to your Word not just focusing on
the negative circumstances that have happened to us but knowing through it all
your Hand is directing us. That alone is awesome to be joyful Lord. Let our
praises go to you even in our direst circumstances please Lord knowing you are
our Lord and Savior. Thank you Jesus you intervene in our lives. Whatever
happens give us the willingness and strength to bear it. Thank you Jesus you
answer our prayers. In Your Name I Pray Jesus! Amen!
