EXPRESSIONS
Word Of Redeemer Delivers! (W.O.R.D)

Ramesh C. Reddy

Managing Editor

Hi everyone :)

May you know that the Word of the Lord delivers you and brings you healing! Amen!

Announcement:

New Hope Christian Community is located on North Dithridge Street right opposite to Webster Hall and St. Paul's Cathedral church on Fifth Ave and will be having a POT LUCK LUNCH after church this Sunday, Sept 01, 02. The worship service starts at 11:00 a.m.

Quiet Times (Psalm 91, Proverbs 31, and Mark 6)

“His faithful promises are your armor” (Psalm 91:4)

Three words stood out to me from this verse:

  1. FAITHFUL
  2. PROMISES
  3. ARMOR

I thought to myself what does it mean to be FAITHFUL?

What came to my mind is “loyalty and consistency in what is done!”

Also, I thought to myself what does it mean to give PROMISES?

What came to my mind is “Keeping our word”

Finally, I thought to myself what is the function of the ARMOR?

What came to my mind is “Safety from dangerous things that are thrown at us.”

I combined FAITHFUL PROMISES and came up with “loyalty and consistency in keeping our word.”

Now I thought about the Lord because ‘His’ refers to the Lord. It is exciting to know that our Lord is loyal and consistent when it comes to keeping His Word which can serve as our safety from dangerous things that are thrown at us.

I saw important implications for my own life. His faithful promises can become my armor too in the walk of life. With the things I face in life, I do need His armor for protection so that I can evade the firing arrows and darts of Satan that come my way through different circumstances.

I have also realized the more I stood on God’s promises in my life, the most peaceful I have been no matter what the circumstances of my life. It is when I don’t claim His promises and depend on Him is when my guard comes down and I am vulnerable to Satan’s attacks.

The Lord’s armor is my protection but I need to accept those promises. Oh how helpful those promises have been when I put them into practice! Here are some of my favorite promises that have helped me so much in my troubles.

  1. All things work together for good to them that love God and are fitting into His plans. (Romans 8:28)
  2. Commit everything you do to the Lord and trust in Him to help you do it and He will. (Psalm 37:5)
  3. Delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart! (Psalm 37:4)
  4. Fear not for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God, I will uphold you and strengthen you with my right hand. (Deutronomy)
  5. He who began a good work in you will finish it to completion. (Philippians 1:6)
  6. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live but Christ lives in me and the life I now live in the body I will live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)
  7. Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled, you are trusting God, now trust in me.” (John 14:1)
  8. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. (Hebrews)
  9. Let Him have all your worries and cares for He is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you. (1 Peter 5:7)
  10. No eye has seen, no ear has heard the wonderful things the Lord has prepared for those who love Him. (Ephesians)
  11. Peace I leave to you, the Peace I give is not like the peace the world gives, so don’t be troubled or afraid. (John 14)
  12. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33)
  13. Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
  14. Unless the Lord builds the house our toiling is in vain. (Psalm 121)
  15. Verily I say unto you unless you are born again you cannot enter the Kingdom of God. (John 3:3)

I ask you now dear friends, what do you do with the Word?

Dear friends, the Lord Jesus has provided you His Word. There is power in the Word of God and you can utilize the power of God’s Word in your lives. His promises are there for you too. The times I claim His promises amidst trials and tribulations is when I can handle those well and have the peace. When things don’t go well and I don’t turn to the Lord and His Word, things still are so heavy upon me. Jesus loves you and wants you to hold on to His promises for you that you can have peace and go on. May you always turn to His Word no matter what you face knowing Word of Redeemer delivers! Amen!

Word Of Redeemer Delivers! (W.O.R.D)/”What do you do with the Word?”

 Prayer:

Jesus, I thank you so much for your faithful promises and how they serve as our armor for us when we put on your promises and claim them in our lives yielding to you. Lord, we have not always done that and for that we are sorry. Help us in our times of distress to turn to you and your promises of comfort and direction. Thank you so much Jesus for your help. You help us where we are at. I love you Jesus and thank you for loving me. Oh Lord, you know the things we are facing and we need your help. Please help us Lord and let your Word be our direction and guide through the walk of life. I thank you Jesus for being our Lord and Personal Savior as we turn to thee. We are sorry for all our sins and ask you for your forgiveness. Please help us and we yield our life to you. Thank you Jesus so much we can claim your promises. In Your Name I Pray Jesus! Amen!

Love in Christ,
Ramesh
