“Lord Is Faithful Everyday! (L.I.F.E)

Ramesh C. Reddy
Publisher

SCRIPTURE:
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you."
(Psalm 139:13-18, NIV)

Question to Ponder/Approach Question:
Who owns the copyright to your life, why or why not?

Observations:
I asked myself what does the Psalmist declare to the Lord as he reflects on his life?
1. For you created my inmost being.
2. You knit me together in my mother's womb.
3.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
4. Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
5.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.
6.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.
7.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
8.
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
9.
How vast is the sum of them!
10.
Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.
11.
When I awake, I am still with you.

Interpretations:
I asked myself the significance of the Psalmist saying, 'For you created my inmost being!?'
The Psalmist realized that he is a result of God's intervention and that God is the Author of His life and has sole copyright to him. He does not give anyone else credit for the work of God in His life. There is no copyright infringement here. Since God has the copyright to him, he places his confidence in God alone. This means the Psalmist does not believe in macro-evolution being the cause of his existence but God. This is evidenced by 4 points:

3.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
4. Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
5.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.
6.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.

I asked myself the significance of the Psalmist's praises?
The Psalmist realizes that it is the Lord that has given him life through creation because he is fearfully and wonderfully made. Because he is fearfully and wonderfully made, he acknowledges that the Lord's works are wonderful. He also realizes that God sees everything and nothing is hidden from him, even though he was in his mother's womb. He also acknowledges that God saw his unformed body that was being woven together. Because his body was being woven together by the Lord, He knew that he will have life and be cared for by the Lord of creation. This is evidenced by the next 5 points:
7.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
8.
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
9.
How vast is the sum of them!
10.
Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.
11.
When I awake, I am still with you.

I asked myself the significance of the Psalmist's proclamation?
The Psalmist knows that after he is born that all his days that have been ordained for him have already been written in God's book before one of them came to be so he does not have to worry about his life since the Lord is thinking about him constantly. Instead, the Psalmist is focused on how precious the Lord's thoughts are towards him and these thoughts cannot be measured. That is why the Psalmist excitedly also proclaims,
"Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand?" and concludes v.18 with 'When I awake, I am still with you.'

I asked myself the significance of the Psalmist writing, 'When I awake, I am still with you?'
The Psalmist knows how much he is cared for by the Lord to be able to boldly proclaim that statement and I would not be surprised at all to think that this is a birthday Psalm given to the Psalmist by the Lord.

Implications:
I asked myself what are the implications for my own life?

I saw important implications for my own life. This can be a value of life Psalm for me to praise the Lord for all He has done for me and will do for me. More than that I can proclaim His promises for my life knowing He who created me and loves me, will also be there with me always and care for me. He is the One that made me and allowed me to have life in my mother's womb and outside of the womb giving me value, He has ordained my life for me. Thank you Jesus!  I praise the Lord for that because in life I am so cared for by the Lord which started in the womb. Thank you Jesus. It is awesome to be cared for by the Lord to whom I am so special and His thoughts always turn towards me. I can never measure the thoughts of the Lord towards me for they would outnumber the grains of sand. I can celebrate the value of life because the Lord Jesus loves me so much and gave it to me.

 Purpose:
The purpose of today's devotional is for us to understand that we are a precious and special creation of the Lord who is the Author of our life and is always thinking about us and watching everything that concerns us.

I ask you now dear friend, what value do you give life during the March for Life?
Dear friend, Psalm 139 is for you and me to realize the value that the Lord Jesus places on the life of the unborn and on our own life too.  He who created you  loves you so much and cares for you more than words can say. Before you were born, Jesus knew you and knit you together perfectly in your mother's womb and saw your unformed body. He took care of you in the womb to give you life and ordained the days of your life in His book which is so exciting to know! You do not have to live alone. Jesus will send people your way to care for you. Yes, He will!

But more than that, so that every unborn child and every born child can  have value to life, Jesus went to the cross to pay the price you could not pay to ransom you from sin's destructive bondage. That is how much Jesus loves you. He loves you so much that He died on the cross shedding His precious blood and came back to life on the third day to save. Jesus cares for your life and every life of the unborn. Every moment of your life is important to the Lord so never feel that your life is not significant because for the One who created you, your life is so significant that if you were the only person living, Jesus would have still died for you to give you new life. That is exciting to know so come as you are!

Also, never let anyone tell you that the life of the unborn is insignificant or your life is insignificant because they are not. Every life is significant!

It does not matter what your age is for the God of the Universe created you and has the copyright to your life that will never expire. That means, whether you were at conception or 100, He will love you and reach you because that is the character of God to love. God is love and in Him is life for our being. Yes, friend God loves you so much that He sent His only begotten Son to die for you so that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have Everlasting Life. That is exciting to know.

Friend, Psalm 139:13-18 can be read knowing how much God values your life and the life of the unborn. Thank you Jesus. You can confidently claim the promises of God knowing His thoughts turn towards you and me. Yes, they do friend!

Friend, today is the day that there is a March for Life in D.C. to march for the value of the unborn. But even before this march ever began, the Lord Jesus marched to the cross of Calvary to show you how significant you are and your life is. Your life has so much value. No matter where you have been or what you have done, you have significance because Jesus loves you so much and created you in love. Come as you are to Jesus regardless of what you have done, for He forgives you and remembers your sin no more.

Today might or may not be your birthday and you are reading this. If it is not your physical birthday, it can be your born-again birthday. You can come to Jesus as you are no matter what you have done or where you have been. He loves you as you are and paid the price to set you free. In the Lord, alone you can be happy and find your joy in Him. I am amazed to read Psalm 139 and know how much the Lord cares for me and He cares for you too.

If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Personal Savior, let today be your born-again birthday by giving your life to the Lord so the angels in Heaven can celebrate it with you And if you do know Him as your Lord and Personal Savior, you have started another year of your life with the One who gives life. Yes, friend as you celebrate the value of life or your born-again birthday, turn to the Word of God for your direction and celebration in life. He wants to lead you and me. Yes, He does! That is exciting to know!

May you come to experience Lord Is Faithful Everyday!

"Lord Is Faithful Everyday!"/"What value do you give L.I.F.E during the March for Life?"

Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you so much for all you send into our lives to care for us and show how valuable we are to you. Thank you for the significance you give to our life. But most of all, I want to thank you for being the Author of my Life, making me, and having total copyrights to me. You have provided me Your Word to direct me and lead me. Even when I mess up, you are there for me Oh Lord. You beautifully redeem me daily as Yeshua. Thank you so much Jesus. Thank you that we have value in you knowing you who created us, love us so much. I pray for those Oh Lord who are feeling lonely on  this March for Life day that you Oh Lord would shower upon them Your love so that they can be transformed by Your abundant grace. Thank you Psalm 139 reminds me of the life of the unborn and how much precious it is to you. Thank you so much Jesus. Thank you that you hear and answer. Thank you for dying for my sins and coming back to life to save me. In Your Name I Pray Jesus. Amen!

Lord Jesus, You are my all in all. You are my Prince of Peace, Rock, Savior, and Friend. You are my Holy Father guiding me through to live a life of righteousness, holy righteousness. Oh God, I need you more than ever. I need to feel your hands around me holding me tight. I need your love to surround me so that you can glow in my life. Help me please Jesus. I desire in your presence. Thank you for guiding me to live a life of righteousness. Oh God you love me more than ever. You hear my voice when I cry out to you. When I seek your face, you fill me up. You are my all in all. Thank you Jesus so much for your help no matter what I face, your grace is available and you take my case. Thank you for hearing us and answering us. In Your Name I Pray Jesus! AMEN! (Most of the prayer is from a vineyard song called “All in All”)

No matter what you feel in your heart, know that Jesus has come in and resides with you! You are not alone! To make your walk strong with the Lord, spend time in prayer talking to Him as you would to a friend. You don’t need special words to talk to the Lord. Spend time in His Word reading Psalms and turning them into prayer. Next allow God to heal you and speak to you through the Gospel of John or Gospel of Mark before moving on to other Books of the Bible! Slowly, let the Lord show you to which Scriptures He wants you to go to next. It is also important to be part of a body of believers to help you grow in the faith. Find a Bible believing church that preaches the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation proclaiming Jesus Christ our crucified and risen Lord who brings us hope, healing, and help!

No matter who you are, it is not ever too late to join a Bible-believing church or a college fellowship. I highly encourage each of you to come to Transformers Small Group on Friday nights at 7:00 p.m. and Oakland International Fellowship on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. for prayer, 11:30 a.m. for worship, 10:30 a.m. for Sunday School, and 12:30 p.m. for fellowship lunch.

May the Lord's presence and peace fill you with His love now and forever! Amen!

Friend, if you have prayed this prayer and meant it in your heart, you are a new creation in Christ and all old things are passed away and everything has become new! You may feel something or may not but don’t base it on feelings but base your new life in Christ on the promises of our Savior who will never leave you nor forsake you! Amen!
