“Beautifully Inspirational Redeemer Totally Helps Daily As Yeshua! (B.I.R.T.H.D.A.Y)”

By Ramesh C.Reddy

Oct 05, 2009

Editors Note: The devotional has a background song called 'Hold On' by Twila Paris, which can be heard if you use Internet Explorer.

SCRIPTURE:
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you."
(Psalm 139:13-18, NIV)

Observations:
I asked myself what does the Psalmist declare to the Lord regarding his own life?
1. For you created my inmost being.
2. You knit me together in my mother's womb.
3.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
4. Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
5.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.
6.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.
7.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
8.
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
9.
How vast is the sum of them!
10.
Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.
11.
When I awake, I am still with you.

Interpretations:
I asked myself the significance of the Psalmist saying, 'For you created my inmost being!?'
The Psalmist realized that he is a result of God's intervention and that God is the Author of His life and has sole copyright to him. Since God has the copyright to him, he places his confidence in God alone. This means the Psalmist does not believe in evolution being the cause of his existence but God. This is evidenced by 4 points:
3.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
4. Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
5.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.
6.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.

I asked myself the significance of the Psalmist's praises?
The Psalmist realizes that it is the Lord that has given him life through creation because he is fearfully and wonderfully made. Because he is fearfully and wonderfully made, he acknowledges that the Lord's works are wonderful. He also realizes that God sees everything and nothing is hidden from him, even though he was in his mother's womb. On the contrary, he acknowledges that God sees his unformed body that is being woven together. Because his body is being woven together, he knows that he will have life and be cared for by the Lord of creation. This is evidenced by the next 5 points:
7. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
8.
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
9.
How vast is the sum of them!
10.
Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.
11.
When I awake, I am still with you.

I asked myself the significance of the Psalmist's proclamation?
The Psalmist knows that after he is born that all his days that have been ordained for him have already been written in God's book before one of them came to be so he does not have to worry about his life. Instead, the Psalmist is focused on how precious the Lord's thoughts are towards him and these thoughts cannot be measured. That is why the Psalmist excitedly also proclaims, "Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand?" and concludes v.18 with 'When I awake, I am still with you.'

I asked myself the significance of the Psalmist writing, 'When I awake, I am still with you?'
The Psalmist knows how much he is cared for by the Lord to be able to boldly proclaim that statement and I would not be surprised at all to think that this is a birthday Psalm given to the Psalmist by the Lord.

Implications:
I saw important implications for my own life. This can be a birthday Psalm for me to praise the Lord for all He has done for me and will do for me. More than that I can proclaim His promises for my life knowing He who created me and loves me, will also be there with me always and care for me. He is the One that made me and allowed me to have life in my mother's womb and outside of the womb giving me a birthday each year, He has ordained my life for me. Thank you Jesus!  I praise the Lord for that because I am so cared for by the Lord on my birthday which started in the womb. Thank you Jesus. It is awesome to be cared for by the Lord to whom I am so special and His thoughts always turn towards me. I can never measure the thoughts of the Lord towards me for they would outnumber the grains of sand. I can celebrate my birthday because the Lord Jesus loves me so much and gave it to me.

HOW THE GOSPEL GIVES ME TESTIMONY REGARDING B.I.R.T.H.D.A.Y:
When the time clock hit midnight, my mommy called me to wish me a blessed birthday filled with the Lord's special blessings and praised the Lord and thanked the Lord for all the years Jesus has already cared for me turning His thoughts towards me. Later, my mommy prayed with me on my birthday. As my mommy prayed, I was reminded of Psalm 139:13-18. When I decided to study the Psalm, my friend Chandraleela called me to wish me a blessed birthday right after my mommy called. She also wrote a text message that said, "Hello, Good morning, wake up, open your eyes, see who is there with you. It's me leela, came with petals of Roses, palm full of cold water, light of rising sun, fragrance of flower grass with dew. I WISH YOU A GREAT DAY. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU FROM MY HEART. Have a wonderful day. I am praying for you. Please read Psalms 1" I felt loved by my mommy and leela. But more than that I felt loved by the Lord Jesus Christ who put people in my life to care for me. It does not stop with my mom and leela's call. Jesus has cared for me through our small group where I was surprised with my favorite dessert of Carrot Cake with cream cheese frosting that Edwin and Marie had made as a surprise for me. Then, if that was not a surprising enough, I was surprised at Oakland International Fellowship this morning at church by Cathy who had a vanilla-chocolate cake for me and others birthday we celebrated. What everyone had in common was how much they love the Lord Jesus Christ expressing the Lord's blessings upon my life. Even before my birthday began, wishes and blessings were written on my wall even when I have forgotten to wish many of my friends a happy birthday.  I see having a birthday too and being cared for on my birthday as a result of the Gospel too. It is the Gospel of Jesus Christ that brings goodness into this world and helps people care. Even those that do not know the Lord Jesus Christ yet, experience goodness because of God's grace. His grace is what helps me run life's race and and be victorious with Jesus as my ace. You too can be victorious. My physical birthday does not compare anything with my spiritual birthday when Jesus brought me out of darkness and into the light because of His wonderful agape care for me. Jesus loves you too so much and even as I have felt cared for on my physical birthday and spiritual birthday you too can feel cared for in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I ask you now dear friend, who cares for your birthday in life?
Dear friend, your family and friends will care for you on your birthday. But, even if  you feel no one cares for your birthday and you are all alone, I want you to know that you never have to feel alone. Jesus loves you so much and cares for you more than words can say. Before you were born, He knew you and knit you together perfectly in your mother's womb and saw your unformed body. He took care of you in the womb to give you life and ordained the days of your life in His book which is so exciting to know! You do not have to live alone. But more than that, so that you can have victorious birthdays each year, Jesus went to the cross to pay the price you could not pay to ransom you from sin's destructive bondage. That is how much Jesus loves you. He loves you so much that He died on that cross shedding His precious blood and came back to life on the third day to save. Jesus cares for your birthday in life.

It does not matter what your age is for the God of the Universe created you and has the copyright to your life that will never expire. That means, whether you are 1 or 100, He will love you and reach you because that is the character of God to love. God is love and in Him is life for our being. Yes, friend God loves you so much that He sent His only begotten Son to die for you so that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have Everlasting Life. That is exciting to know.

I know it is for me to know that Psalm 139:13-18 can be read as my birthday Psalm claiming the promises of God knowing His thoughts turn towards you and me. Yes, they do friend. Today might be your birthday and you are reading this. Know that the angels in Heaven want to celebrate your spiritual birthday too when you  come to Jesus, if you do not know Him as your Lord and Personal Savior. And if you do know Him as your Lord and Personal Savior, you have started another year of your life with the One who gives life. Yes, friend as your celebrate your birthday, turn to the Word of God for your direction in life. He wants to lead you and me. Yes, He does!

May you come to experience Beautifully Inspirational Redeemer Totally Helps Daily As Yeshua!

"Beautifully, Inspirational Redeemer Totally Helps Daily As Yeshua!" (B.I.R.T.H.D.A.Y)/"Who cares for your B.I.R.T.H.D.A.Y in life?"

Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you so much for all you send into our lives to care for us on our birthday. Thanks how we are surprised unexpectedly. Thank you for family members and friends. But most of all, I want to thank you for being the Author of my Life, making me, and having total copyrights to me. You have provided me Your Word to direct me and lead me. Even when I mess up, you are there for me Oh Lord. You beautifully redeem me daily as Yeshua. Thank you so much Jesus. I pray for those Oh Lord who are feeling lonely on their birthday that you Oh Lord would shower upon them Your love so that they can be transformed by Your abundant grace. Thank you so much Jesus. Thank you that you hear and answer. Thank you for dying for my sins and coming back to life to save me. In Your Name I Pray Jesus. Amen!

Lord Jesus, You are my all in all. You are my Prince of Peace, Rock, Savior, and Friend. You are my Holy Father guiding me through to live a life of righteousness, holy righteousness. Oh God, I need you more than ever. I need to feel your hands around me holding me tight. I need your love to surround me so that you can glow in my life. Help me please Jesus. I desire in your presence. Thank you for guiding me to live a life of righteousness. Oh God you love me more than ever. You hear my voice when I cry out to you. When I seek your face, you fill me up. You are my all in all. Thank you Jesus so much for your help no matter what I face, your grace is available and you take my case. Thank you for hearing us and answering us. In Your Name I Pray Jesus! AMEN! (Most of the prayer is from a vineyard song called “All in All”)

May you experience the POWER OF CHRIST'S RESURRECTION this day, and give Him the LOCKED areas of your life too so you can experience His PEACE as you become an ACTOR in the film called LIFE being directed by your DIRECTOR, JESUS CHRIST who comes to give JOY and PEACE.

You don't have to be locked away anymore for Christ is here to free you and give you peace to LIVE out your actions.

How do you look at GODISNOWHERE?

One of my pastors, Pastor Hugo SHARED this example one Sunday at the RESURRECTION DAY SERVICE in the combined worship service of Pittsburgh Chinese Church-Oakland & Oakland International Fellowship:

If you look at it as GOD IS NO WHERE, you will still be lost in your sin and be in bondage locked away in your sins and problems finding no peace.

But  as my pastor spoke to the congregation and spoke to me, I am here to tell you that GOD IS NOW HERE.

Yes, friend God is aLIVE and wants to bring a transformation in your life through the GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ for He paid the penalty on the cross to rescue you and me and came back to life to save us and LIVE with us.

Yes, friend that is exciting to know that we can experience HIS SAVING GRACE & LIVING GRACE.

When we mess up, we can go to Jesus with our shortcomings and He will forgive us and RESTORE us to Him and we will find peace in Him.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23, NIV)

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:7-9, NIV)

Friend, we need Jesus because we have been separated from God due to our sin. Because of our sin, Jesus had to pay the price to become our bridge so we can reach God now not of our own good works but because of the finished work of Christ, the Lord on the cross.

"For it is by GRACE you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9, NIV)

Come to Jesus as you are and pray this prayer to accept Jesus as your Lord and Personal Savior. He will transform your life around! Praise the Lord! You don't have to have all the answers! You can come as you are!

If you want to be a soldier in the Lord's army, you can become it right now. Now is the time of Salvation! You do not have to wait but can pray this prayer and give your life to Christ to serve Him daily! There is no draft but coming to Christ is voluntary. He loves you so much and wants you to come to Him! He will take care of you, guiding you and leading you!

PRAYER:
Dear Jesus, I love you. Thank you for loving me so much and thank you for choosing the cross to die for me. You became the Son of Man and lived here on earth. Then you humbled yourself and became obedient to death-even death on the cross. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sin. You died on the cross so that I can be covered in your blood and cleansed by your blood as I acknowledge that I need you and cannot enter Heaven without you being my pathway. So, Jesus I confess all my sins to you and all the ways I have tried to get into Heaven when you already provided the means and the Way. Thank you for all that you have done for me. "The cross is the place, a wonderful place where accused and condemned find mercy and grace. Thank you Jesus, it is at the cross where the wrongs we have done and the wrongs done to us were nailed at the cross. Thank you Jesus, at the cross you died for our sins and at the cross you gave your life for us." I thank you for that and thank you for coming back to life to save us. Thank you Jesus for being there for me! Thank you for loving me. I love you Jesus! Please take me as I am and make my life into something that you will be proud of. I surrender my life to you and need your help to live for you. I am forever grateful for what you have done for me and I can never repay you. I want to live for you and need your help. Help me Jesus please. I thank you Jesus for saving me! Thank you for hearing my prayer and answering me. Whatever your will give me the willingness and strength to bear it. Thank you Jesus! I acknowledge you as my Lord and Personal Savior! In Your Name I Pray precious Jesus! Amen!

No matter what you feel in your heart, know that Jesus has come in and resides with you! You are not alone! To make your walk strong with the Lord, spend time in prayer talking to Him as you would to a friend. You don’t need special words to talk to the Lord. Spend time in His Word reading Psalms and turning them into prayer. Next allow God to heal you and speak to you through the Gospel of John or Gospel of Mark before moving on to other Books of the Bible! Slowly, let the Lord show you to which Scriptures He wants you to go to next. It is also important to be part of a body of believers to help you grow in the faith. Find a Bible believing church that preaches the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation proclaiming Jesus Christ our crucified and risen Lord who brings us hope, healing, and help! But beware of churches who do believe in the Word of God completely but there is no freedom in Christ but legalism involved.

As a professional, it is not too late to join a church! As a student, it is not too late to join a fellowship on campus this  new year of 2009! May the Lord's presence and peace fill you with His love now and forever! Amen!

Friend, if you have prayed this prayer and meant it in your heart, you are a new creation in Christ and all old things are passed away and everything has become new! You may feel something or may not but don’t base it on feelings but base your new life in Christ on the promises of our Savior who will never leave you nor forsake you! Amen!

Spend time in His word and let the Lord speak to you! Start out in the Gospel of John! You can also check out the Gospel of Mark which are the devotionals I have been going through.  Learn from Jesus through study and prayer. Also find yourself a church fellowship and a college fellowship you can be part of where you can be part of a community of believers to supplement your own walk with the Lord. Let it be a Bible-believing and Bible-breathing church! Believe in Bible LIVE Eternally!

Feel free to email me at reddy4hisglory2004@yahoo.com if you want to meet to study the Bible, pray with, talk about Spiritual issues or whatever is on your mind! My number is 412-641-9426
