There was a young lawyer named Matlock. He was a prosecutor in a city where law & order was very important. He had studied L.A Law most of his career. Problems arose when he came to New York City. The N.Y.P.D Blue had to deal with so much crime in their area. The prosecution’s office had loads of criminal cases to prosecute. The prosecution successfully won many of their cases because cops known as New York Undercover made many legal arrests and sent the alleged to court. The reason most cases were won was because of the evidence presented that was hard to refute.

Many of us in our lives have committed crimes that we believe no one knows about. As long as it is hidden under the rug, we may think, everything will be okay. There is a problem here though because for a crime to exist, you need a mens rea and an actus rea. In other words, we need a criminal intent and a criminal act.

What we face now is nothing compared to Wells book 1984. If you thought privacy was invaded then, think again. You are living in a world where your every move is being recorded. Every step you take, every word you say, is being recorded. This has been happening even before that book came out. Hence there are tons of tapes to prove that we are guilty of crimes. A crime is a crime, whether it is a small crime or a big crime. There is a final verdict. It is GUILTY as CHARGED.

If we think our good works will outweigh the crimes we have done, we are totally wrong. A good deed cannot erase a crime that’s been committed. You may be thinking what a harsh society to live in. Well in a way, you are right. The crimes we have been charged with are disobedience, sexual immorality, idolatory, stealing, lawlessness and so on.

The evidence is presented based on the recording of our lives every move. We are arrested because of what we have been charged with.

Can we say our Constitutional rights were violated in any way? No we cannot! For every arrest is made justly and fairly with pure justice in mind.

Can we say to ourselves, our money will buy us the best lawyers to argue our case and win? No we cannot! No amount of affluence or influence will refute the evidence and make us innocent.

What happened to innocent till proven guilty? It does not exist because of the tapes real evidence, showing the crimes being committed. Why then even go to court, you may ask?

Let’s find out what happens in court now. This is a non-jury trial with only a prosecution, defense-attorney, and the Judge. There are no witnesses except the tapes given as Exhibit 1. The prosecution is so happy to see the tapes. For the prosecution feels, it is assured a victory and we can be locked away forever being tormented where their is weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The defense attorney is so sorrowful to see the tapes. For the defense attorney knows, we will all be found guilty. He knows what He has to do. The Judge has just seen the tapes. The verdict has come in: Guilty! Guilty! Guilty! The sentence is death. We are taken into custody to be transported when we die. The Judge tells the defense attorney, you still have time to save them. You can make a final appeal. It’s going to cost you so much pain in the process. The attorney decided to go with the final appeal. I cannot believe it. Why would anyone want to save me?

But I can see so much love and compassion in His eyes. His face is filled with sorrow knowing what has to be done. But the attorney is willing to do it. He decided to take our place. What!! Taking my place but why, I am guilty of the charges, not Him. But, I saw there was no stopping Him. He was determined to take our place. He was incarcerated and tortured because of what we had done. He was willing to go through all this for us. By the stripes He took, he wanted to rescue us. He was then led to the death chamber made of wood. All they needed were 3 nails and a hammer. Ahh, the pain and the suffering were endured for all of us. Why???

Because Jesus knew, He was the only one that could save us from Hell. Only, His cleansing Blood could wash away our crimes and make us pure in God’s eyes. The crimes are the sins we do in our lives. Hell is real and because of our sins we deserve it but Jesus loves us so much that He wants us to be with Him. He has a beautiful place for you and me known as Heaven. We can go to Heaven when we die. All we need is to be willing to acknowledge that we are sinners, we cannot save ourselves, and there is only one way out.

Jesus became that way for you and me. Jesus says, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can come to the Father but through me.”  (John 14:1) Jesus came back to life to save you and me. He was willing to go through all that pain that you can be saved so that you could spend Eternity with Him. We do not know when we will all die. None of the people who passed away on September 11, which is almost 6 months ago, may have thought to themselves that they would die that way tragically and horrifically. Yet, death comes with no warning.

But it is so assuring to know we can be in Heaven with Jesus when we die. You can be assured of your Salvation. It is simple. It’s not complex. Call upon the name of the Lord and you will be saved.

Acknowledge Jesus as your Lord and Personal Savior. Be willing to let Him take your place. Ac cept what He has done for you. He loves you so much. He will accept you as you are!!! Come to the Lord Jesus and find rest. Confess your sins and accept Jesus into your heart and you will be assured of your Salvation. Christ not only assures us Salvation but a life filled with abundant joy and peace. Jesus  the Prince of  Peace!!!!

Heaven and Hell are real and Christ gives you a way to enter Heaven. The prosecution here was the Devil and he wants nothing more than to see his way win and see you in hell. The Judge here was Father God. God does not want you to go to hell. God loves you so much, even though He is a Judge, that He allowed the defense attorney, Jesus to take your place!!! May you find comfort in Christ’s love and give your heart to him! Amen!

If you want to accept Christ into your heart, may this be your prayer:

Dear  Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I am guilty of the crimes of sin whether they are seen as small crimes or big crimes. Sin is sin to you Lord and there is a penalty for it. You in your holiness cannot allow sin to enter your presence so we are condemned. Yet, you in your love have provided a way out by giving yourself to take our place. Thank you Jesus! I am sorry for my sins and ask you to please forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with your cleansing blood. Make me clean again. I accept you into my heart. Please come into my heart and make my heart your home. Please live in me Jesus and I will live for you and serve you the rest of the days of my life. I acknowledge you as my Lord and personal Savior believing that you had to die on the cross and come back to life to atone for my sins. Please be my Lord and Personal Savior. Thank you Jesus. Thank you for hearing my prayers and answering me. In Your Name I Pray Jesus! Amen!

You may feel something or not but don’t let feelings dictate your acceptance into the Kingdom of Heaven. You are born-again if you sincerely meant what you prayed.
