The Pittsburgh Panthers pulled out an amazing season. After winning their first game and losing the next five, they seemed to be eliminated from any bowl appearance.

Instead, they won their last five games of the season and were given a bid to participate in the Visit Florida Tangerine Bowl against the North Carolina State Wolfpack.

They beat the Wolfpack 34-19 to win the Visit Florida Tangerine Bowl. The fans were ecstatic as they left for post-game celebrations lasting until 3:00 a.m.

Laura Askin, a Pitt senior said, "I loved the game. It was incredible to be part of that and see Pitt win a bowl game especially while I was a student. The crowd was electric and so much fun."

As the night progressed, Askin and her friends went to Bar Orlando to celebrate the victory with music, drinking, and dancing.Students got back to the Ramada Inn Resort on International Drive at 2:45 a.m and got ready to leave the next day.

Joe Orife, a Pitt Sophomore said, "I think it was pretty good. I had a good time. I can’t complain down here in Florida because I saw the team win and it was cheap. I came down with six friends and had fun. I have never been to Florida so it was fun."
