Questions to Ponder for 'This Day in Biblical Verses: 1:8”

Compiled by Ramesh C. Reddy

Editors Note: Every single Bible verse needs to be taken in it's context. Our hope is that by reading the Bible verses pertaining to the day, you will be curious and read the whole chapter of each book of the Bible mentioned here and memorize the verses. We hope you will use the questions to ponder and reflect on God's Word.

Questions to ponder after 1:8 verses:

What do we need to be constantly reminded of? Once we are reminded of it, what do we need to do and why? What can you learn from Joshua 1:8?

What has been your response to your father and mother? What can you learn from Proverbs 1:8?

Who should we not be afraid of and why? What can we learn from Jeremiah 1:8?

What can you be confident about when the Holy Spirit comes upon you? Why is that so significant and exciting to know according to Acts 1:8?

When people talk about you, what do you think they will say? How do you know that? What can we learn from Romans 1:8 to apply in our lives?

When Jesus returns, what are you guaranteed? How is your response similar or different to what you learn in 1 Corinthians 1:8? How does that make you feel?

If our preaching is not according to God's Word, what should we be aware of? How should Galatians 1:8 exhort us to only preach from God's Word and not our own ideas?

Who understands you so well and knows what is best for you at all times? Why? How does that make you feel? How is your response in comparison to Ephesians 1:8?

How is your love towards others? What can we learn from Philippians 1:8?

What are you supposed to do with the Word of God? How is your response in comparison to 1 Thess 1:8?

What needs to happen for you not to be afraid to tell others about Jesus? How is your response similar or different from 2 Timothy 1:8? How should 2 Timothy 1:8 excite you?

What 6 more qualifications should those who want to manage God's household have? Is your response similar or different from Titus 1:8? What can you learn?

When do you trust someone to love them? What can we learn from 1 Peter 1:8?

How can you become useful to our Lord Jesus Christ? What can you learn from 2 Peter 1:8 to encourage you?

What do you work so hard to get? What can you learn from 2 John 1:8?

Who are we asked to take care of and why? What can we learn from 3 John 1:8?

What 8 claims can you tell me about Jesus? How many of those claims can you find in Revelation 1:8? How many new claims did you learn? What is the significance of that?

"Constantly remind the people about these laws, and you yourself must think about them every day and every night so that you will be sure to obey all of them. For only then will you succeed." (Joshua 1:8, TLB)

"Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching." (Proverbs 1:8, NIV)

"And don’t be afraid of the people, for I, the Lord, will be with you and see you through.” (Jeremiah 1:8, TLB)

"But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power to testify about me with great effect, to the people in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth, about my death and resurrection.” (Acts 1:8, TLB)

"Let me say first of all that wherever I go I hear you being talked about! For your faith in God is becoming known around the world. How I thank God through Jesus Christ for this good report, and for each one of you." (Romans 1:8, TLB)

"And he guarantees right up to the end that you will be counted free from all sin and guilt on that day when he returns." (1 Corinthians 1:8, TLB)

"Let God’s curses fall on anyone, including myself, who preaches any other way to be saved than the one we told you about; yes, if an angel comes from heaven and preaches any other message, let him be forever cursed." (Galatians 1:8, TLB)

"And he has showered down upon us the richness of his grace—for how well he understands us and knows what is best for us at all times." (Ephesians 1:8, TLB)

"And now the Word of the Lord has spread out from you to others everywhere, far beyond your boundaries, for wherever we go we find people telling us about your remarkable faith in God. We don’t need to tell them about it," (1 Thess 1:8, TLB)

"Those laws are good when used as God intended." (1 Timothy 1:8,TLB)

If you will stir up this inner power, you will never be afraid to tell others about our Lord or to let them know that I am your friend even though I am here in jail for Christ’s sake. You will be ready to suffer with me for the Lord, for he will give you strength in suffering. (2 Timothy 1:8, TLB)

“I am the A and the Z,  the Beginning and the Ending of all things,” says God, who is the Lord, the All Powerful One who is, and was, and is coming again!" (Revelation 1:8, TLB)
