“Deliverer Offers Omnipotent Redemption! (D.O.O.R)

Ramesh C. Reddy
Publisher

SCRIPTURE:

"I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture." (John 10:9)

Observations:

I asked myself what claims does Jesus make to the Pharisees once again?
Jesus claims, "I AM the DOOR!"

I asked myself what if-then statement does Jesus make?

IF anyone enters by Me,
THEN he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture!

Interpretation:

I asked myself what is significant about Jesus saying ''IF anyone enters by Me?"

The significance is that Jesus offers the Pharisees Salvation too. This Salvation is not based on how well they are versed in Scripture, how often the obey the Torah, how often they go to the synagogue but is totally based on whether they enter the door through Him. In essence, Jesus is saying that He is the only DOOR to Salvation and there is no other.

"There is no other Name in Heaven whereby we must be saved except the Name of Jesus!" (Acts)

There are not multiple doors that lead to Heaven but only through Him. In essence, He is letting them know that He is God by claiming 'I AM' and then providing a way to be saved! Thank you Jesus. The awesome outcome is finding pasture that He has planned and provided! Thank you Jesus!

I found it interesting that Jesus offers them too Salvation. For He tells them if anyone which includes all of them too.

This is very significant because Jesus is letting them know it does not matter how well they are versed in Scripture if they do not enter through the right door. Jesus is the only One that claimed to be the Door for people to be saved.

Interpretation/Application:

I asked myself why did Jesus use the DOOR analogy specifically with the Pharisees?

I have a feeling that the Pharisees had experience with people being saved by way of a door. They could recall God revealing Himself to Moses as "I Am" and then giving Moses a commandment on how judgment would pass over those who have entered through the door.

Because of how well they were versed in  Scripture, they knew that the door that was covered in blood was passed over by the Angel of death and those that entered through those doors were kept safe.

"Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs. The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you ate; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt." (Exodus 12:7,13)

Now Jesus claims to be the Door for all to be saved. In other words I see Jesus telling them if they enter through Him, judgment will pass over them because they will be covered by the Blood of the Lamb of God. Jesus is foreshadowing to them that He will become their Passover so God's judgment will passover them when God looks at them and they are covered in Christ's precious cleansing Blood shed for the remission of sin.

This is the only way for judgment to passover human beings when they only enter through the DOOR who claims to be the 'I AM' who is Jesus Christ! Thank you Lord Jesus Christ! Jesus claims to be the Only Way to Heaven for the Pharisees and for anyone. Thank you Jesus!

Implications:
I asked myself what are the implications for my own life?

It is only through Jesus Christ can I be saved. It does not matter whether I am born into a Hindu family, Muslim family, Buddhist family, or even a Christian family. Being born into a family does not automatically save me. Going to church will not save me! Reading the Bible will not save me! Only entering the DOOR through Christ will save me and give me Salvation. This is what God has promised by claiming 'I AM' the DOOR! Thank you Lord Jesus!

The awesome thing is that it is promised that I will go in and out and find pasture. When I think about pasture, I am reminded about luscious green and usually green symbolizes life. I need to enter through the DOOR so Jesus can save me and I can belong to Him. Thank you Lord Jesus!

I ask you now dear friend, what D.O.O.R is the only Door that will save you?
Dear friend, there are many doors that people can go through but Only One Door can lead to Salvation. It is in Jesus Christ for He claims to be the Door for Salvation. Friend, whether you are a Hindu, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, etc you need to ask yourself if you are following the Absolute Truth.

Deep inside don't we all want to be on the side of Truth?

Jesus Himself claimed that those that came before Him were not Truth and that false prophets would arise. Jesus is offering Himself as the Door for our Salvation. For me that is exciting to know especially since our shortcomings are not used to prevent us from coming to Jesus. Even when we are following another religion, Jesus does not abandon us but shows us the Ultimate Truth.

Have you ever watched 'Let's make a Deal' which is an old game show?

There are 3 doors and only one door leads to the ultimate prize. Jesus is offering you a deal for your Salvation. But you need not guess for He plainly reveals Himself to you!

Jesus is giving that Truth to the Pharisees regardless of how many wrongs Jesus had seen them do. He offers Himself to you and me too for our Salvation regardless of where we have been or what we have done! That is exciting friend!

The question becomes are we willing to accept Jesus as the Door to find green pasture?

I came to the point that following other people's religion will not save me even if it is the religion of Christianity. What I mean is just because someone is born into a Christian family does not save them if they have not made Jesus Christ their personal Lord and Savior.

I needed to come to the point of owning my faith and believing with all my heart no matter what happens to me, how wrong things have gone in my life, how right they have gone in my life, etc that "Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow!"

That means if He is the DOOR then, He will remain the DOOR today and forever more for Salvation. It does not change.

May you come to experience entering the D.O.O.R in your life so Christ can transform you by His grace! Amen!

"Deliverer Offers Omnipotent Redemption! (D.O.O.R)/"What D.O.O.R is the only Door that will you save you?"

May you come to the Lord Jesus as you and may you share His love with those around you! Amen!

Prayer:
Dear Jesus you claim to be the Door. Thank you Lord that you are my God! Lord, I need you as my Door for only your entrance will save me. Lord, I have been locked out so many times being trapped in my own sin and shortcomings. It means a lot that you have chosen to offer your Salvation to the likes of me and so many others with so much baggage. Thank you Jesus. Please Jesus now as I come to you, I ask you to please clean me on the inside and make me a new creation. I need that Lord for sin has had a hold on me. I thank you once I am in your care, you will take care of me. I thank you Lord for promising me about finding green pasture. Please Jesus come into my heart and make my heart your home. Live in me Jesus and I will live for you and serve you the rest of the days of my life. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. I acknowledge you as my Lord and Personal Savior this day and give myself completely to you. I come with all my shortcomings knowing I cannot change on my own but you can help me through it all. I thank you Jesus. I love you Jesus. Thanks for loving me and dying for my sin. Thank you for not giving up on me. This means a lot to me. Thank you for hearing my prayer and answering me. Whatever your will, please give me the willingness and strength to bear it! Thank you Jesus I am yours! Thank you that you have heard my prayers and answered me! In Your Name I Pray Jesus! Amen!

Lord Jesus, You are my all in all. You are my Prince of Peace, Rock, Savior, and Friend. You are my Holy Father guiding me through to live a life of righteousness, Holy righteousness. Oh God, I need you more than ever. I need to feel your hands around me holding me tight. I need your love to surround me so that you can glow in my life. Help me please Jesus. I desire in your presence. Thank you for guiding me to live a life of righteousness. Oh God you love me more than ever. You hear my voice when I cry out to you. When I seek your face, you fill me up. You are my all in all. Thank you Jesus so much for your help no matter what I face, your grace is available and you take my case. Thank you for hearing us and answering us. In Your Name I Pray Jesus! AMEN! (Most of the prayer is from a vineyard song called “All in All”)

No matter what you feel in your heart, know that Jesus has come in and resides with you! You are not alone! To make your walk strong with the Lord, spend time in prayer talking to Him as you would to a friend. You don’t need special words to talk to the Lord. Spend time in His Word reading Psalms and turning them into prayer. Next allow God to heal you and speak to you through the Gospel of John or Gospel of Mark before moving on to other Books of the Bible! Slowly, let the Lord show you to which Scriptures He wants you to go to next. It is also important to be part of a body of believers to help you grow in the faith. Find a Bible believing church that preaches the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation proclaiming Jesus Christ our crucified and risen Lord who brings us hope, healing, and help by His grace alone. May the Lord Jesus guide you in His love leading you! Amen!
