“Target's
Transgender Policy Plummets, Promoting Trump's Triumphant DEI
Dissipation!”

Since 2016, my precious wife
Chandraleela,
my precious two daughters
Esther
&
Evangeline,
and I have not shopped at Target stores because of their transgender
policy allowing transgender people to use the bathroom of their
choice.

This
policy elicited the dangers of what happened in Loudoun County,
Virginia. We were not going to risk our daughters being in the
bathroom with a boy or man, nor did I want my wife to be in the same
bathroom with a man.
It has
been nine years since we shopped at our favorite retail store
because we boycotted Target.
Did we
think our boycott affected their bottom line?
Four
people boycotting the store likely won't have an impact, but a
larger boycott could affect their profits.
Yet,
after Target decided to close its stores for Easter so its
employees, who are followers of Christ, could celebrate Resurrection
Sunday, a.k.a. Easter, I wanted to give them back 14 hours of sales
they missed on that Easter Sunday.
My wife,
however, did not think that was a good idea because of their 2016
transgender policy.
I am so
proud of my wife because no matter how much she liked the store,
because of their prices and variety of goods, she would not
compromise.
The
first question she asked me was if they had changed their
transgender policy since 2016.
I had
not checked, so I did not know.
My wife
really needed a HEPA Filter B 4825, which was only available at
Target for pickup.
So, I was hoping they changed their transgender policy since 2016.
I
decided to check to see if the policy had changed.
I was ecstatic to learn that they had changed their
transgender policy from 2016.
“In 2025, Target has ended its DEI goals and programs, which include
initiatives related to bathroom policies. While Target previously
allowed transgender employees and customers to use bathrooms
corresponding to their gender identity, the company has since stated
that this policy is no longer in place.” (AI
overview)
After reading the policy change, I stepped inside Target after
nine
years and got the HEPA Filter B 4825.
I left the Target shopping bag inside our front door to see my
wife's reaction.
After discovering the policy change, I know she will be ecstatic to
shop there again. I know I was.
I am so proud of Target for not only closing their doors on
Resurrection Sunday but for protecting the safety of young girls and
women who should not have to fear if they will see a man in their
restroom, and for dropping their DEI policies.
Diversity,
equity, and inclusion have to be based on biblical standards. My
vote for President Trump
was worth it because Target's transgender policy plummeted, and DEI
dissipated.
When the Lord God made man and woman, he made them with distinctive
qualities that cannot be interchanged.
God’s Word reveals the essentials you need to know about man and
woman.
God’s Word is the Pittsburgh Standard for living and beyond.
I did not realize that I had written an article nine years ago on
May 17, 2016 to boycott Target. Now, nine years later, on May 16,
2025, I am writing an article stating that the boycott stopped.
In conclusion, waiting can never be easy, especially when we love
something and cannot have it now. There are times we may have to
wait years without giving up. During that time, if we had never
compromised on biblical principles, we would feel we had won a
victory, and the wait would be worth it.
This was the case for my Target experience when I had to wait for
Target's transgender policy to change, but there are way more
important things to wait for than shopping at Target.
There is a wonderful song by
John Waller called
‘While I Am Waiting”
that I hope becomes your prayer.
May you also claim the promise from God’s Word that says,
“But
those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar
on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will
walk and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31, TLB)
