“God's Gay Christian Chooses Celibacy!”

On the night of Friday, Feb 24, 16, around 7:00 pm, Dr. Wesley Hill, spoke to a crowd of about 50 people at Pitt's O'Hara Student Center, introducing himself as a gay, Christian celibate. Hill later shared his personal story of growing up, feeling different, coming out, sexuality and Christian faith, singleness and celibacy, and reflections on how his choice was made focusing on the story of the Gospel, theology of singleness, and theology of suffering before taking Q&A from the audience.

The event was sponsored by Lutheran Student Fellowship, Catholic Newman Club, Reformed University Fellowship, Cornerstone Christian Ministry, and Aletheia Community Alliance.
