Comparing currency conversions for countries most popular cities to visit

By Ramesh C.Reddy

As most students are on summer break or about to go on summer break, traveling numbers go up too. Many students love to travel to different places whether it be studying abroad, going to Semester at Sea, doing exchange programs, etc. Traveling involves money and the right kind of money.

What this means is a dollar bill may work well in the U.S for a purchase valued at a $1.00 but trying to use that dollar in Britain will not work unless it is already converted to British pounds. Students need to know what their $ currency is worth in other countries.

There are so many countries but the 10 most popular traveling destinations according to http://travelvideo.tv/news/more.php?id=8652_0_1_0_M are Mexico’s Cancun, San Jose & Puerto Vallarata, Europe’s UK – London, Rome - Italy, Paris- France, Dublin- Ireland, Athens – Greece, Frankfurt Germany, and Canada’s Vancouver

With this in mind, what your dollar would be worth in those countries cities is listed below for you to plan ahead if you are intending to go to any of those countries.

One dollar is equivalent to 10.41 pesos (Mexico’s Cancun, San Jose, & Puerto Vallarta)

One dollar is equivalent to 0.536251 pounds (UK – London)

One dollar is equivalent to 0.7813 euros (Rome - Italy, Paris- France, Dublin- Ireland, Athens – Greece, and Frankfurt Germany)

One dollar is equivalent to 1.1005 dollars (Vancouver – Canada)
