BOOK REVIEW:

'The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts' is an excellent book on learning to love your wife/husband the way they want to experience love.

Chapman makes you see that if you think you are loving your wife/husband but they don't feel loved or experience love, then you may not be using the love language that is dominant for their lives that they want to experience through you.

Chapman helps you evaluate and rank 1-5 what is your primary dominant language and your wife/husband's primary dominant language by giving you 'The 5 languages personal profile' so both can give the language of love that is special and makes an impact for both of you whether it is:
1. Words of Affirmation
2. Quality Time
3. Receiving Gifts
4. Acts of Service
5. Physical Touch

For example, if a wife/husband rank physical touch as their dominant language of love that they like to receive but they are given quality time of love, they still won't feel as loved as when they receive physical touch. This is just an example.

Through examples and advice Chapman does a great job to keep the reader intrigued and motivated to find out the language of love a wife/husband strives for.

Chapman also encourages you to assess the language of love you think is dominant for your wife/husband and then ask them to take the assessment to see if you are right.

If your assessment of your wife/husband is not identical, then you have some quick language learning to do :)

This book applies not only to marriage but other relationships to to build them up and encourage each other!
