SCRIPTURE:
"Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all." (Mark 9:35, NIV)

How many of us face pride in our lives?
Dear friend, pride infects our daily lives like a poisonous virus. Pride makes us think about our degrees, our popularity, our fame, our grades, our peers, and so on. Pride even makes us think about how others should treat us and respond to us!

If we believe we cannot meet others expectations of us or they do not meet expectations of us, we may try to avoid them or feel uncomfortable near them.

Why is that?

Because in this world, we are taught to be #1 in everything we do. According to the world's standards, it does not make sense to be popular and hang out with unpopular people, it does not make sense to make friends with those who keep failing, it does not make sense to be with peers who are not with us at the same level, it does not make sense to fall in love with someone the world thinks, 'I cannot believe he/she is in love with so and so', or it does not make sense to keep loving when there is no gain and the love will not be reciprocated. That is the world's standards.

But there is a standard set by the One who loves you so much no matter where you have been or what you have done. He will help you overcome negative obstacles including pride. Jesus is His name and for you upon this earth He came so your life never has to be the same when He gives you a new aim.

Though others may look down upon you because of who you are, Jesus loves you as you are. What is most important is LOVE. Love conquers all, even pride. Jesus offers you love and will put everything in perspective. Don't let the circumstances you are in, rule you. You are valued and loved by the Lord. You can make something out of your life.

When we know we are loved by the Lord, we can eventually reciprocate some of that love towards those around us even if we feel they will not give it back. Pride will not stop us. Humility is something we will gain as we depend on the Lord to follow through the principles of the beatitudes.

I want to tell you about Peter. Peter was a fisherman who had so much pride. One day Jesus wanted to wash the disciples feet. Peter was upset about that but Jesus did not have pride. Even though the disciples called Jesus, their master, Jesus showed the qualities of a servant, when he washed their feet. All Jesus could think about is LOVING them.

I want you to know that Jesus loves you so much and will give you so much happiness. Don't let others with their ridicule and peer pressure spoil that for you. Jesus thinks highly of you regardless of what you accomplish in life. He has a wonderful purpose for you. Though clouded by circumstances, you can be victorious with the Lord's help. May the Lord Bless You! Amen!

Overcoming Negative Choices

Wrong choices in your life rule?
Causing your tears to make a colorless pool?
That is burning hot and never becomes cool?
Turning life into a dangerous tool?
Making every choice a nightmare?
Causing you to suffocate by life's tight bear?
Cause you, its planning to with its venomous bite tear?
Counterattacking every solution you might dare?
EXCEPT ONE, occurring when working with the Right Pair
Speaking of God and Jesus, God's Son (2 Corinthians 5:19)
Who love you more than anyone (Isaiah 43:1-4)
Though your problems weigh a ton (Isaiah 40:29)
You will realize, they have your battles won (Romans 8:7)
When everything gets done (Philippians 4:13)
As you trust God, and Jesus with your whole heart (John 14:1)
Accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior by doing your part
And in life giving Jesus a start (Rom 1:16 & John 1:12)
Who will help you to Satan's fiery arrows dart (Heb 4:12)
Cause their love for you will never end. (Isaiah 43:1-4)
Nothing can it ever bend (Joel 2:32)
With love, Jesus will the Holy Spirit send (John 14:16-18)
And every broken heart mend (Psalm 147:3)
As Jesus will every problem tend (Colossians 1:29)
Calling you by your name
For you upon this earth He came
So your life never has to be the same
When He gives you a new aim.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus I love you so much. Thank you Lord you are Mighty. You are Holy and you are awesome in your power! You have risen and conquered the power of death. I thank you that you can help me conquer my own pride for there are times I have been so guilty. I am sorry for my sins. Please forgive me of my sins. Thank you Lord for forgiving me. Thank you Lord for cleansing me by your precious blood. Help me Jesus so I can help others. Thank you Jesus. Lord Jesus there are so many people out there, whose life is ruled by wrong choices. Please Lord hear my prayer. Answer my cry. Please help them Lord. Lord Jesus please take away their tears and fill them with joy. Please let them know your will Lord. I turn them over to you. Lord Jesus thank you, you can change anything around. Thank you Lord, you can fix what man has broken. Please fix our broken lives OH Lord. Thank you Lord Jesus. Thank you Lord, you help those you forgive. Thank you lord, you forgive us when we are sorry for our sins and confess them to you. Thank you Lord, you will help us battle Satan. Help us OH Lord, to wear your armor. Please change our life around for your glory. Thank you Lord Jesus we are precious and special in your sight and are called by name. You will give us a new aim. Thank you Jesus so much for that and for hearing our prayers. IN YOUR NAME I PRAY JESUS. AMEN!

If you want to be a soldier in the Lord's army, you can become it right now. Now is the time of Salvation! You do not have to wait but can pray this prayer and give your life to Christ to serve Him daily! There is no draft but coming to Christ is voluntary. He loves you so much and wants you to come to Him! He will take care of you, guiding you and leading you!

Prayer:
God I am a sinner. I am invaded by this deadliest virus. Many times I feel so guilty and yucky inside. I need forgiveness. I am so sorry for my sins. I have not obeyed you with my whole heart! I have gone my own way and done my own things. I still struggle with sin. I need you Jesus in my life so I can receive forgiveness and a new beginning. In the process, I can forgive others as you help me to. Thank you so much Jesus. I accept the antidote you have sent me. I believe Jesus you died for me and your cleansing blood will cleanse me from all my sins. You came back to life to save me. Thank you God I am set free, free from the bondage of sin. Hear my cry Oh Lord. I accept you Jesus into my heart. I make you my Lord and Personal Savior of my life. Thank you Father God for giving me Salvation. Thank you Jesus for coming into my heart and making my heart your home. Thank you for living in me Jesus and I will live for you and serve you the rest of the days of my life. Thank you for being my Lord and personal Savior! I can live a life of peace with you on my side. Thank you that you have heard my prayer and answered me! In your Name I Pray Jesus! AMEN! Thank you Lord for answering my prayer. Amen!!!

Friend, if you have prayed this prayer and meant it in your heart, you are a new creation in Christ and all old things are passed away and everything has become new! You may feel something or may not but don’t base it on feelings but base your new life in Christ on the promises of our Savior who will never leave you nor forsake you! Amen!

Spend time in His word and let the Lord speak to you! Start out in the Gospel of John! You can also check out the Gospel of Mark which are the devotionals I have been going through. Learn from Jesus through study and prayer. Also find yourself a church fellowship and a college fellowship you can be part of where you can be part of a community of believers to supplement your own walk with the Lord. Let it be a Bible-believing and Bible-breathing church! Believe in Bible Live Eternally!
