“Almighty Allows Trump's Triumph!”

Ramesh C. Reddy
Publisher

In my dream before the election, a  group of people gathered to hear an election message so I sent a man to speak at the podium. When he came to the podium, I was shocked because he would say, "Both are weak candidates that I cannot support". I was totally shocked because I expected him to speak in favor of presidential candidate Donald Trump but he did not. Then, I sent a woman up to speak in favor of Trump but there was only silence. I kept waiting and waiting if anyone would speak in favor of Trump but nobody did. I was so frustrated and took to the stage myself and spoke in favor of Trump why it is so important to vote for him. Then, I told everyone there that it is God who places people in power and it is God who removes people from power. No one will come into power without God's permission.  Finally, I told everyone but this does not give you an excuse not to vote. You still have to go and vote but remember whatever happens, God is the one that placed them in power. I thought to myself we are all just instruments to accomplish his purposes. When, I got off the stage, the entire audience in the room clapped. The message had resonated with them. Then, I woke up!

On Sunday morning during our church fellowship time, I wanted my friends to vote for Trump. One of my Indian friends told me that this election bothered him until he listened to K-LOVE radio where the DJ said something to the effect that God places people in power and removes them so we can have the confidence that things will be okay when we trust in the Lord.

It reminded me of Psalm 75:6-7 which says, "For promotion and power come from nowhere on earth, but only from God. He promotes one and deposes another."

Election day came and I fasted for 18 hours without drinking water or eating anything but praying to the Lord Jesus, while I was working. As an Evangelical Christian, my main concern in this election was the holocaust of the unborn. I believed Trump's words when he said he would appoint Supreme Court justices who would protect the life of the unborn while presidential candidate Hillary Clinton wants to continue the slaughter of the unborn. I was telling the Lord that it is He who creates life and thought no man or woman has a right to take that life.

I was reminded of Psalm 139:13-18 which says, "You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit them together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is so marvelous—and how well I know it. You were there while I was being formed in utter seclusion in the dark of the womb! You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your book! How precious it is, Lord, to realize that you are thinking about me constantly! I can’t even count how many times a day your thoughts turn toward me. And when I waken in the morning, you are still thinking of me!"

It bothered me so much that Clinton wanted to destroy that life in a mother's womb in the name of Pro-Choice.

Then, I told the Lord Jesus that a Trump presidency will eradicate the terror group ISIS because I thought to myself how many Christians they are killing and even non-Christians. I knew the Obama administration did not do enough and ISIS became powerful under his administration. It did not go well with me that he now was supporting Clinton for president. I did not believe Clinton will bring ISIS down because both President Obama and Clinton were even scared to use the word: RADICAL ISLAMIC JIHADISTS when terror happens thinking they were going to alienate the Muslim population. True muslims would not be offended because they know what the Koran really says. My mentor from work who helped me rise through the ranks is a true Muslim :)

I was reminded of the Bible verse from Proverbs 24:11-12 which says, "Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to death; don’t stand back and let them die. Don’t try to disclaim responsibility by saying you didn’t know about it. For God, who knows all hearts, knows yours, and he knows you knew! And he will reward everyone according to his deeds."

Then, I told the Lord Jesus that a Trump presidency could eradicate the corruption in the White House, Department of Justice, and Deparment of State because I strongly felt all 3 of them were in collusion with the Clinton campaign doing everything they could to ensure she is not arrested or charged when it came to the classified email scandal and the Clinton Foundation. I thought to myself that it is unbelievable that Clinton's husband Bill Clinton would meet privately with Loretta Lynch, the Attorney General of the U.S while Hillary was still under investigation. Then, the shocking part came when FBI Director Comey decided not to indict Hillary after the meeting. I could not imagine how someone could bleach-bit and delete 33 thousand emails from being recovered and nothing happens? I knew she should be in the jail house and not the White House.

Later, I told the Lord Jesus that a Trump presidency could repeal Obamacare. I thought to myself that Obamacare was based on lies and now premium hikes have become unbelievable. But more than that what bothered me was that parts of the law infringed on employers who did not want contraception or morning-after-pill to be covered in the insurance they gave to their employees since morning-after-pill could induce abortion.

Furthermore, I told the Lord Jesus that a Trump presidency will curb illegal immigration. I thought to myself it is not fair that I waited for 18 months to get my precious loving wife Chandraleela here legally from India and then waited for another 2 years for her to get her permanent residency card so she could work legally here.

As my African-American friend who is also a Union steward for UFCW 23 says, 'Right is right and wrong is wrong'.

I believe Trump presidency would curb illegal immigration so legal immigrants can occupy the jobs that illegal immigrants were taking. Furthermore, I knew it is not ethical to say a wrong is right.

Finally, I told the Lord Jesus that a Trump presidency would protect religious liberties that have been corroding away in the Obama administration especially against Christians when they speak out against moral issues, etc.

Yet through this entire prayer I prayed multiple times, 'I trust you Jesus, my Lord and Personal Savior in this situation pleading your precious Blood knowing you are the One who places people in power for your purposes!'

My main reason for wanting Trump was for the protection of the unborn. If Trump was not Pro-Life, I would not have voted for him either.

The Pro-Life issue dominated the conversation with my African-American friends on election day.

An African-American woman was so scared that Trump could become president so I shared with her my dream about God who will place people in power for his reasons and purposes that we do not understand.

I was reminded of Psalm 55:8-11 which says,  "This plan of mine is not what you would work out, neither are my thoughts the same as yours! For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than yours, and my thoughts than yours. As the rain and snow come down from heaven and stay upon the ground to water the earth, and cause the grain to grow and to produce seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry, so also is my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It shall accomplish all I want it to and prosper everywhere I send it."

I told her both candidates are the worst candidates ever to run for president but we have to choose the lesser of the two evils knowing that either Clinton or Trump would win. I talked about the Pro-Life issue with her. Her excuse was 'No man should be able to tell me what I should do with my body. It is a woman's choice.'

I told her that it has nothing to do with a woman's choice or man's choice but God's choice. God's choice says the unborn need to be protected so i am voting for Trump. I was surprised when she told me something to the effect that if you are 'Voting The Bible' I can see why you will support Trump because he is Pro-Life.

Then, another African-American woman asked me who was winning the election?

I told her that Trump was winning and her response was, 'I cannot believe he is winning when he was okay with groping woman.'

I told her that for many the Pro-Life issue is more important than his words. Her response was, 'No one should be able to tell a woman what she can do with her body. It is her choice.'

I told her that a woman or man's choice does not preempt God's choice that he wants the unborn protected. I shared with her Proverbs 24:11-12 and left.

Why am I sharing all this with my readers?

It is because there is this perception out there that those who voted for Trump are racist, homophobic, xenophobic, misogynistic, etc because they see Trump in terms of these labels. They cannot imagine for the life of their being how anyone can vote for a man like that who was even accused of sexual assault.

As an Indian-immigrant and now a U.S citizen who voted for Trump, I can tell you that voting for Trump went across racial and gender lines. Even if people did not agree with the Trump presidency, they understood that God had to act.

An African-American man who is Pro-Union told me that he told his congregation members that they should not be worrying about Trump being president but the state of their own heart whether they know Jesus or not! This is the question he asked them, 'Do you know Jesus?' He wanted the congregation members to vote Jesus into their heart. He made a point that if Jesus was with them, they did not have to fear the outcome of the election.

Then he told me that America as it is now reminded him of Sodom and Gommorah that the Lord destroyed because of the sin of homosexuality, wickedness, etc that was prevalent. He was making a point that with a Clinton presidency the evil would have continued. God had to make a change.

Just remember that Trump is just a man and God can keep him in power or depose him according to His will.

I was reminded of the Bible verses from Romans 8:31-39 which says, "What can we ever say to such wonderful things as these? If God is on our side, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son for us but gave him up for us all, won’t he also surely give us everything else?  Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? Will God? No! He is the one who has forgiven us and given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? Will Christ? No! For he is the one who died for us and came back to life again for us and is sitting at the place of highest honor next to God, pleading for us there in heaven.  Who then can ever keep Christ’s love from us? When we have trouble or calamity, when we are hunted down or destroyed, is it because he doesn’t love us anymore? And if we are hungry or penniless or in danger or threatened with death, has God deserted us? No, for the Scriptures tell us that for his sake we must be ready to face death at every moment of the day—we are like sheep awaiting slaughter; but despite all this, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us. For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels won’t, and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God’s love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, or where we are—high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean—nothing will ever be able to separate us from the love of God demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ when he died for us."

Remember my African-American friend is standing on the Word of God which makes him see things from a biblical perspective. So, please don't tell people that they are racist if they voted for Trump just because the Ku Klux Klan and Alt-Right supported him.

Remember BLUE states that went to President Obama, who is Black, turned RED this time when two white candidates were running. I believe it had nothing to do with the color of their skin but more to do with the issues at hand.

81% of white Evangelical Christians voted for Trump, 29% Latinos voted for Trump, 8% Blacks voted for Trump, 54% of white woman voted for Trump, etc.

For Trump to be accused of sexual assault and the way he demeaned people, it is shocking that more than a majority of white woman voted for Trump over Clinton.

For Trump who wants to curb illegal immigration and build a wall, it is shocking that 29% of Latinos voted for Trump.

For Trump who wants to revitalize inner cities and take care of the Black communities, it is sad that only 8% voted for him but the good news is that he did better than Romney.

So it does bother me when people are afraid of a Trump presidency. If people are fearful of a Trump presidency because they want to do their own things regardless of how immoral and criminal they are, they should be. But let us not make Trump's presidency into a racial issue.

Romans 13:1-5 says, "Obey the government, for God is the one who has put it there. There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power. So those who refuse to obey the laws of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow. For the policeman does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don’t want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well.  The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose. Obey the laws, then, for two reasons: first, to keep from being punished, and second, just because you know you should."

The Bible also says, "It is better to obey God than man!"

No one should ever think if the laws of the land contradict God's Word, we should continue to follow them! That is absurd!

When the people voted for Trump, I believe it was based mostly on issues regardless of their religion or lack of religion, race, gender, etc.

Galatians 3:28 says, "We are no longer Jews or Greeks or slaves or free men or even merely men or women, but we are all the same—we are Christians; we are one in Christ Jesus."

An Indian friend of mine told me that he was comforted to know whether Trump or Clinton became president, that God is the one that placed him/her there. So, he believes that God had a reason to place Trump there.

I hope you believe that too! If God be for us who can be against us!

How true this is because when God has his reasons to place someone in power, no one can stop that from happening.

My precious loving wife Chandraleela reminded me in my distress that no one can stop God from putting Trump in power if that's what God chose to do. I believed that including if Clinton got into power, it is the same Lord that placed her there.

When things go against a candidate, it will take a miracle for that candidate to win. This is what I believe happened to Trump for God's reasons.

Let us see the tide of battle that Trump faced:

1. The mainstream news media tried to destroy his candidacy especially CNN-(Clinton News Network), MSNBC, CNBC, NBC, UNIVISION, etc
2. Majority of the print media especially the New York Times and Washington Post tried to destroy his candidacy.
3. Conservative newspapers endorsed Clinton for the presidency. Of all the endorsements from liberal and conservative papers, Clinton got 57 and Trump got only 2.
4. Billy Bush, the nephew of George W. Bush's, explicit disgusting sexual conversation with Trump was released. The disgusting explict langauge came from Trump. Let us remember Billy Bush is related to Jeb Bush who lost the nomination to Trump.
5. CNN colluded with Clinton campaign to give questions ahead of time including poll results.
6. The White House, Department of Justice, and Department of State colluded with Clinton in the hopes of destroying his candidacy.
7. His character and words were there to destroy his candidacy.
8. He was outspent on ads and ground game too!
9. He was vehemently opposed by members of his own party including the Bush's who did not vote for Trump.
10. He was opposed by so many left-wing and some right-leaning groups.

Yet, even through all this my Lord Jesus placed him in power to lead America as it's president.

How can that happen?

Because if God wants something to happen, it will happen and no human being will be able to stand in God's way for His purposes.

Even if we want to question why God would want to choose Trump to be president, let us remember Romans 11:33-36 says, "Oh, what a wonderful God we have! How great are his wisdom and knowledge and riches! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his methods!  For who among us can know the mind of the Lord? Who knows enough to be his counselor and guide? And who could ever offer to the Lord enough to induce him to act? For everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by his power, and everything is for his glory. To him be glory evermore."

My dear friends who are Clinton supporters, the pain will not go away immediately because your candidate lost. But remember Trump is just a man. God has His reasons for putting him in office. I want to believe it is to do something great through this weak and fallible man. God can do anything. Please give Trump a chance to run a nation how God wants it to be run. He is not perfect and will make mistakes but he needs our prayers.

I leave you with these promises to reflect upon:

Psalm 33:4-22 says,  "For all God’s words are right, and everything he does is worthy of our trust.  He loves whatever is just and good; the earth is filled with his tender love. He merely spoke, and the heavens were formed and all the galaxies of stars. He made the oceans, pouring them into his vast reservoirs.  Let everyone in all the world—men, women, and children—fear the Lord and stand in awe of him.  For when he but spoke, the world began! It appeared at his command!  And with a breath he can scatter the plans of all the nations who oppose him, but his own plan stands forever. His intentions are the same for every generation.  Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his own. The Lord gazes down upon mankind from heaven where he lives. He has made their hearts and closely watches everything they do.  The best-equipped army cannot save a king—for great strength is not enough to save anyone. A war horse is a poor risk for winning victories—it is strong, but it cannot save. But the eyes of the Lord are watching over those who fear him, who rely upon his steady love. He will keep them from death even in times of famine!  We depend upon the Lord alone to save us. Only he can help us; he protects us like a shield. No wonder we are happy in the Lord! For we are trusting him. We trust his holy name. Yes, Lord, let your constant love surround us, for our hopes are in you alone."
