"People Provider For Ongoing Abortions Abhors Administration of Bush "

January 24, 2008

Editors Note: A quorum has been met for the editorial to be considered for publication as 15 members of the board voted by 5:30 a.m. The editorial passed with a super majority: 13 - 1 - 1:  13-Yes votes, 1-No vote, and 1-Abstain vote.

The Bush administration’s pro-life policies should be applauded because they are working. It is thrilling to know for the first time that Planned Parenthood Federation of America (a.k.a to the pro-life movement as ‘People Provider For Ongoing Abortion’) is being crippled slowly. They need to be! They promote the stealing of life.

It is sickening to know there are groups out there such as PPFA, Emily’s List, and NARAL Pro-Choice America who look past medicine and still want the unborn killed. They just don’t want them killed, but want to encourage political candidates who will join them in the killing of the unborn. PPFA plans to spend more than $10 million dollars for that endeavor.

Thanks to the Bush administration and president Bush’s values for the sanctity of life and a culture of life, their agenda will not prevail. Thanks to the thousands of marchers including politicians who joined the March for Life 2008 on Tue, Jan 22, their agenda will not prevail. Thanks to students all over the country who are seeing value to the life of the unborn, their agenda will not prevail. More than anything thanks to the Creator, their agenda will not prevail forever.

The pro-life movement shall prevail. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) or ‘Always Christianity Loathing Union’ cannot stop the pro-life movement whose guidance and lead comes from God!

“Building a culture of life requires more than law, it requires changing hearts and as we reach out to others and find common ground, we can see the glimmerings of a new America on the far shore. This America is rooted in our beliefs that in a civilized society the strong protect the weak. This America is nurtured by people like you who speak up for the weak and the innocent. This America is the destiny of a people whose founding documents speaks of the right to life that is a gift of our Creator and not the grant of the state”, said Pres. Bush for the March for Life 2008 rally!

Regardless of what people say about Pres. Bush, he has been a strong proponent for the voice of the unborn.

The Pitt News, the liberally slanted newspaper at the University of Pittsburgh wants you to believe abortion is the way to go.

According to their editorial titled, ‘Pro-choice groups try to influence voters’, it says, “This wave of decisions by pro-choice groups to influence voters is the result of the current administration's awful handling of abortion rights.”

If saving the lives of unborn children who breathe and have life in the womb is ‘awful handling’, what would proper handling be?

There is no need to guess because to their board, the proper handling of abortion rights would be to actually allow abortions not to be curbed, to allow PPFA to go unchecked.

Read their own words, “ever since President Bush installed two anti-abortion judges in the Supreme Court and, when in 2007 Gonzales vs. Planned Parenthood upheld the federal abortion ban passed by Congress and signed by President Bush, pro-choice advocates have been struggling to make their voices heard.”

It is about time, pro-choice advocates struggle to be heard. It is even a travesty to call it a struggle just because they cannot have the unborn killed like they used to. Now what Martin Luther King Jr. fought for was a struggle because it was for the good of the society.

Who in their right mind would admit killing the unborn is good for the society?

There will be those who would agree it is good for the society but when you ask them how come when a pregnant woman is murdered, there are two counts of murder charged against the assailant, they will have no answer!

The Roe v. Wade ruling is messed up and it is time for change. It is time to overturn Roe. v. Wade. Now is the time! March for Life 2008 should not end at the Supreme Court steps but should continue each day by fighting for the plight of the unborn.

PPFA should be continuously shown that most Americans value the sanctity of life for the unborn. It is important never to side with pro-choice candidates this election year or any other year. Supporting pro-choice candidates is as much as supporting PPFA and other pro-choice groups. This means forget Rudolph Guiliani, forget Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, and forget Sen. Barrack Obama.

They will not be a voice for the unborn. Supporting pro-choice candidates is actually putting money in the pockets of groups like PPFA because they won’t have to spend that extra money. Let them spend it and become bankrupt. Better they be bankrupt than the lives of the unborn.

To those that think abortion should not be a top-tier issue, it should be! When innocent lives are involved, what other issue takes precedent over the inalienable right to life endowed by our Creator. Unborn should not suffer for the convenience of the mother or anybody else. It is cowardly to compare pro-life movement to other issues such as the War in Iraq, security, and the death penalty. When moral issues are tackled, things will fall in place. Abortion is a presidential issue and should be the #1 topic of choice to decide who will lead this nation!

When those that approve the killing of life become leaders, what kind of leader will they truly be?

P.J. Gruber, a freshman Electrical Engineer at the University of Pittsburgh stated it well when he said, “I think it [Pres. Bush's speech] served as a powerful point to the American people that we are first of all helping to bring a culture of life and we are doing the right thing and we definitely did the right thing putting him in the presidency. Many people disagree with his other policies but this is one policy you cannot sacrifice any other issues for. This is the issue of any election because the lives of the unborn are more important than any war, any tax-system, or any economic plan or education system. I would not think about having an official in there who thought killing of the unborn was ok. I would not trust that politician to make adequate decisions in any other area. I really respect Pres. Bush for what he has done for the pro-life cause”

Psalm 139 details how the Lord instills life in the mother’s womb.

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” (Psalm 139:13-16, NIV)

Let us stand strong for the pro-life movement and speak out against pro-choice movement, pro-abortion movement, and pro-death movement.

Thanks be to the Lord that we have a president of the U.S. who is passionate about the life of the unborn.

It is time for Sen. John McCain, Gov. Mitt Romney, Gov. Mike Huckabee, and Congressman Ron Paul to make this their #1 issue to save the life of the unborn. If this does not become an issue they fight for then they do not deserve the vote of pro-life supporters no matter what arguments you hear in favor of them.

A president has so much power when it comes to the pro-life issue even though the Pitt News does not want you to think that. It is because of the Bush Administration that PPFA is crippled. Vetoing legislation, signing legislation, and appointing Supreme Court Justices who respect a culture of life and sanctity of life is utmost important!

Loathe Pro-Choice! Vote Pro-Life!

This is never to say hate those that are pro-choice, pro-abortion, pro-death because we need to love one another and hate the sin.

Feedback I:

I vote no, but no offense. I agree with the pro-life cause 100%. I also realize, however, that nothing besides the mediocre handling of supreme court appointees was accomplished by Bush in his term. He ran on this same issue, but nothing has been done. From a political standpoint, this issue is no more resolved than it was 8 years ago. I did read that Pitt News article and it said that abortion is not a presidential issue. Even if he wanted to, Bush could not sign a law concerning abortion. He can oppose it and nominate judges that might oppose it, but it is not fundamentally a presidential issue. Yes, it is important that my president cares for the rights of the unborn. BUT, there are other things I will vote on because I know that whoever the next president is, he/(hopefully not she) will not be able to do anything.

Also, while I also support freedom of speech, I feel this editorial comes across with an overly angry tone. I think that it would be much more professional to spend more time discussing the scripture than angry statements with exclamation points. A great source for this debate is Dr. Ravi Zacharias' "Constancy of God in a Changing World Part 2" radio broadcast -available at http://www.rzim.org, where Ravi talks about the beauty of the human gene.

I think that this particular could be better written if you would take more time to write it and come at it from a more loving perspective. This article sounds like a yelling match. But hey, it doesn't mean the stuff in it isn't true, i just feel it could be more effective.
