SCRIPTURE:

I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin." He said this because they were saying, "He has an evil spirit." (Mark 3:28-30, NIV)

Observations/Interpretations:
I asked myself whose company was Jesus in the presence of?
1. The teachers of the law
2. The disciples
3. His family

I asked myself what is the capability of Jesus?
1. Jesus is capable of giving us absolute Truth.
2. Jesus is capable of letting us know what can be forgiven.
3. Jesus is capable of letting us know what will never be forgiven.
4. Jesus is capable of letting us know what is an eternal sin.

I asked myself what words or phrases were repeated?

I asked myself what connections can I see?
Jesus speaking on blasphemy was connected to the teachers of the law stating that He had an evil spirit in Him.

Interpretations:
I asked myself why is it significant that Jesus said, But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin.
To state that Jesus had an evil spirit in Him, which the teachers of the law did, Jesus was letting them know that they were blaspheming against the Holy Spirit for that remark. In essence, Jesus was equating Himself with the Holy Spirit. jJesus wanted to also let them know it is an eternal sin what they were doing: attributing Jesus' miracles to an evil spirit instead of to the Holy Spirit.

Implications:
I saw important implications for my own life here. It is very important that my view of Jesus is scriptural based and not humanity based. When it is Scriptural based, I will know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jesus is God. I will know what it means when I hear God, the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. My view of Jesus needs to be trinitarian based.

One of the greatest passages to emphasize the trinitarian concept is what we studied last Friday with my precious Chandraleela, Pastor Jesse, Emily, Rodney, Suzanne, Eric, Elissa, Grace, Mike, Josh, Rina, Daniel, and Jacob. It comes from Mark 1:9-11: "In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And when He came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, "You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased."

When my view of Jesus is correct, it will be easier to live a life pleasing to the Lord.

I ask you now dear friend, what is your V.I.E.W of Jesus?
Dear friend, your view of Jesus could be based on what you see in the lives of those who claim to be followers of Christ. Those who have LACK OF CONFIDENCE or MISPLACED CONFIDENCE can turn you away from wanting to know Christ. Those who have GOD-FOCUSED CONFIDENCE, can lead you to want to know Christ.

I want to get back to GOD-FOCUSED CONFIDENCE which starts with allowing Christ the Lord to work in me and through me through the power of the Holy Spirit. I am so thankful to the Lord Jesus for using Pastor Bucknell many years ago to do a discipleship training on the type of confidence we have. Our type of confidence will show people too what our view of Jesus is. Our view of Jesus should always take us to the GOD-FOCUSED CONFIDENCE instead of LACK OF CONFIDENCE or MISPLACED CONFIDENCE.

Sadly, when we fall into the category of LACK OF COFIDENCE or MISPLACED CONFIDENCE, we can affect our family and friends negatively too in their view of Jesus. We don't want to be responsible for letting other view Jesus negatively because of our actions.

That said do not let people who believe in Jesus and yet live a life apart from Christ influence your view of Jesus but look to the Gospels to get your view of Jesus. Jesus will not disappoint.

Sadly, we do make judgments about Jesus based on people we know who have come to know Jesus but their lifestyle does not reflect that. That is why it is so important that our life reflect accurately who Jesus is and why Jesus came. More than anything, it is important we get our view of Jesus from the Gospels as a whole.

May you know the love of Jesus in your life and not fear the unpardonable sin if you know Jesus as your Lord and Personal Savior!

If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Personal Savior, you can come to know Jesus as your Lord and Personal Savior for He wants to accept you. Now is the time of Salvation.

View Jesus as one who took the nails on his hands and feet for you, who took the crown of thorns on his head, and a spear to his side, just so He can save you from the bondage of sin and death. Jesus died for your sin to redeem you and give you a new life no matter where you have been or what you have done. His mercy and grace is there for you when you acknowledge you are a sinner in need of a Savior to save you and a Lord to lead your life. Jesus will be both your Lord and Savior when you turn to Him. Jesus came back on the third day to save, is alive, and sits at the right Hand of God who wants to lead you daily by His Spirit.

May you experience the power of His love as I have through His Word and through His people as He works by the power of the Holy Spirit! Amen!

Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, this is a scary passage because for the first time in this chapter I read about a sin that cannot be forgiven but has eternal consequences. Oh Lord, that can scare people into thinking they might have committed it. Lord those that are afraid they might have committed it, please let them know in your love that they have not because you put it upon my heart once that if we are worried about not being forgiven then we have not committed it. The teachers of the law were so out there that they did not even worry about what they were saying and doing. It did not matter to them that they attributed evil to you. There are still those in this world that do the same. That is scary Lord. Help us please not to be paralyzed regarding blasphemy but to hold on to you for when we hold on to you, we are holding on to hope. Thank you Lord that we cannot commit blasphemy in our minds or thoughts because that is not what you addressed. Instead, you addressed what the teachers of the law spoke directly. Help those who are troubled and confused about this passage. Show them your love and your security. Thank you so much Jesus! Jesus I also thank you that it is not possible for your followers to commit the unpardonable sin. For non-Christians who do not know you, it is possible Lord but help us to reach them before they commit it. You Oh Lord died for the world to save it. You would not have done that if it was not possible to grant people in this world Salvation when they turn their lives over to you. Thank you Jesus your death made it possible because of your cleansing precious Blood. Help us Oh Lord for the honor and glory of your Name! Protect us from evil and help us to live for you. We are so sorry for our sin and ask you for your help. Please be our Lord and Personal Savior and fill us with the Holy Spirit. Thank you so much Jesus you are our Lord and Personal Savior! Thank you Jesus you have heard my prayer and answered me! In Your Name I Pray Jesus! Amen!

Lord Jesus, You are my all in all. You are my Prince of Peace, Rock, Savior, and Friend. You are my Holy Father guiding me through to live a life of righteousness, holy righteousness. Oh God, I need you more than ever. I need to feel your hands around me holding me tight. I need your love to surround me so that you can glow in my life. Help me please Jesus. I desire in your presence. Thank you for guiding me to live a life of righteousness. Oh God you love me more than ever. You hear my voice when I cry out to you. When I seek your face, you fill me up. You are my all in all. Thank you Jesus so much for your help no matter what I face, your grace is available and you take my case. Thank you for hearing us and answering us. In Your Name I Pray Jesus! AMEN! (Most of the prayer is from a vineyard song called �All in All�)

May the Lord Jesus guide you in His love leading you! Amen!

No matter what you feel in your heart, know that Jesus has come in and resides with you! You are not alone! To make your walk strong with the Lord, spend time in prayer talking to Him as you would to a friend. You don�t need special words to talk to the Lord. Spend time in His Word reading Psalms and turning them into prayer. Next allow God to heal you and speak to you through the Gospel of John or Gospel of Mark before moving on to other Books of the Bible! Slowly, let the Lord show you to which Scriptures He wants you to go to next. It is also important to be part of a body of believers to help you grow in the faith. Find a Bible believing church that preaches the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation proclaiming Jesus Christ our crucified and risen Lord who brings us hope, healing, and help by His grace alone!
