On a Wednesday night of Feb 27, while Market Central Dining services was celebrating Black History Month with their extravagant dinner, Chrissy Morse of Alpha Delta Pi was getting ready to perform at the Greek Talent show 2008 in David Lawrence Hall 120-121.

She performed a classic popular song by the pop artist Madonna called 'Like a Prayer' which mesmerized me. There are songs that can be heard over and over again and videos that can be watched multiple times. Morse's performance was one of them which scored 52/54 from me as a judge even though I was in the minority.

Some may wonder if she scored that high because of the gift given to me as a judge but let me put that rumor to rest. My integrity is very important to me and I will not sacrifice that integrity.

When I judge I not only use the criteria given to me but also ask myself can I listen to that person's performance more than 10 times if it was rebroadcast. My answer to Morse's performance was 'Yes' so I gave her first place votes even though I was in the minority. While putting the video together I watched it at least 20 times because I loved her performance and the song, 'Like a Prayer'

It is wonderful to see performers sing popular pop songs to video or choreography. Morse did that this year and won my vote for best Greek Talent Show winner of 2008 even though I was in the minority.

Lauren Splane of Chi Omega captivated my attention with a performance of popular Cher songs winning not only my vote but the entire judges votes to become Greek Talent Show winner of 2007 which can be found in the PS TV video archives.

Brittany (Peanut) Taylor of Chi Omega caught me with a country performance that rocked the place winning not only my vote but the entire judges votes to become Greek Talent Show winner of 2006 which can be found in the PS TV video archives.

Morse was not the only one that performed but there were many who performed that I liked but judges can only choose their top 3. Morse was my favorite!
