“God Offers Deliverance, Saving! Wonderfully, Is Leading Lovingly! (G.O.D’S  W.I.L.L)!”

SCRIPTURE:
 “Ignoring what they said, Jesus told the synagogue ruler, "Don't be afraid; just believe. He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James.” (Mark 5:36-37, NIV)

Interpretation:
I asked myself the significance of what Jesus did by allowing only Jairus and three of his disciples to go in with him?
The men had just told Jairus in the front of the crowd that his daughter was dead and there was no pointing bothering Jesus now. However, Jairus continued to believe in God’s Will to heal his daughter but I do not think anyone else believed that. They might have been giving contradictory messages so Jesus did not let them go with Him.

God is not an Author of confusion and the people must have been causing confusion to Jairus and what he had believed so Jesus told him, 'Do not to be afraid just believe' what he had come to believe regarding God’s will. Now Jesus goes with him to his house with only three disciples.

“When they came to the home of the synagogue ruler, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. He went in and said to them, "Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep." But they laughed at him. After he put them all out, he took the child's father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was.” (Mark 5:38-40, NIV)                            

INTERPRETATION:
I asked myself the significance of the phrase, “After he put them all out”.
I found it very significant what Jesus did. Jesus had just come to Jairus’ house after assuring Jairus of God’s will to heal his daughter as he had believed. Jesus had also kept everyone else away who were speaking messages of confusion to Jairus because God is not an Author of confusion.

Now once again, Jairus is being given mixed messages by those in the house when Jesus addressed everyone there. Since they did not believe and were causing confusion, Jesus ‘put them all out’ and only took with Him those who believed and had peace that Jesus would confirm God’s will for Jairus. This is evident by the verse: “he took the child's father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was.”

“He took her by the hand and said to her, "Talitha koum!" (which means, "Little girl, I say to you, get up!" ). Immediately the girl stood up and walked around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished. He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this, and told them to give her something to eat.” (Mark 5:41-42, NIV)

I asked myself the significance of what had happened?
What came to my mind was timing. Jairus had believed that it was God’s will to have his daughter healed when Jesus went with him after he had prayed and pleaded with Jesus. Later, he became very confused when he heard figuratively it was not God’s will to heal his daughter since she was dead now and no point bothering Jesus, by the men that came! There was a conflict going on in him. For he thought one thing and something else had happened.

Jesus’ timing was perfect timing. Between the time Jesus had decided to go to Jairus house and the time he had raised Jarius daughter different things had happened. People got to see a woman being healed from a disease she had for 12 years, people got to see Jesus tell Jairus not to be afraid but believe what he had come to believe after seeking Jesus. Now, people are astonished because in God’s timing, Jairus daughter was raised from her deep sleep. If Jesus had come any earlier and healed his daughter, it would not have been as astonishing.

So, I saw God’s will and God’s timing in this passage. It was God’s will to heal his daughter but it was in God’s timing and in His ways that she was healed.

One day in 2019, I heard a children's sermon by Pastor Mike about being a fisherman for the souls of men. For 15 years, I had worked for Sodexo, a wonderful company, being on their management supervision team where we would feed thousands of students each day. Our job was to ensure we were feeding the student's physical bodies with food while they studied in life. Now I hear about Simon and Andrew, two fisherman catching fish to feed their physical bodies and their families, etc. Jesus comes and looks at their profession and tells them to follow Him so He can make them fisherman for the souls of men. I have always loved to feed the souls of students with the Word of God and exposite it to influence and impact their lives since 7th grade. Even my Sodexo job was a means to ministry to reach students souls.

After prayer and listening to Pastor Mike and missionaries, my heart was leading me more and more to depend on the Lord Jesus Christ to do online and offline ministry to reach souls now with spiritual food from the Word of God. Not only that but to use every section of Pittsburgh Standard as a tool for ministry to reach souls.

With this in mind, I was so excited to go this path because what joy and excitement there is when souls are fed with the Word of God and lives are changed right in front of you and other times even when you cannot see it.

I hated raising support but knew it is important to raise support if our family was going to do this fulltime. Unfortunately, the full support has not yet come. I could look at this and say, "Oh, the full support has not come to do ministry, so this must not be God's will for our family to do."

But, the more I prayed and sought the Lord, the more confident I have felt that I need to continue to do ministry daily and depend on the Lord Jesus for provision. Both my precious wife Chandraleela and I do side jobs to make ends meet. Lord has always provided and reminded us that He is our boss and our wages come from Him. All the cattle on the hill and everything belong to Him.

It could have been easy to think 'Not fully funded' so need to give up BUT the Lord has shown me in different ways that if it is God's Will that I continue to do this ministry, He will be our provision day after day. It has been amazing to see how the Lord has provided in unexpected ways. Hopefully, one day we both don't have to do side jobs but just focus on feeding souls with spiritual food.

When well meaning people say, 'This is not for you so I cannot support you', 'You should look for a fulltime job other than ministry', etc, I kindly share with them that the Lord reminds me time after time from Acts 20:24 that 'But life is worth nothing to me unless I use it to do the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus, the work of telling others about God's mighty goodness and love.' 

I have always been encouraged by what Pastor Mike told me when he was working in the financial sector. Even after his fulltime job, he would go and do youth ministry because he felt that was God's calling for him. Eventually, after 9-11, he went on to become an awesome Children and Youth Pastor at our church and now elsewhere.

I am also reminded time after time that if I am called of God to reach souls for Christ, feeding them spiritual food, I need not worry about the calling of man or any organization. I kindly ignore the nay sayers and continue in ministry. To this day, we continue to do Pittsburgh Standard Ministry online and offline depending on the Lord for His provision. Thank you Jesus!

That said when it comes to God's Will, we should never ever stop praying about what we feel the Lord is calling us to do. We should never close the door saying, 'This is what God wants me to do and that's it'. In other words, when people challenge us whether we are doing the Lord's work or for our own satisfaction, etc,we need to heed every challenge and take it to the Lord in prayer and look around us.

I strongly believe the Lord Jesus can speak to us in different ways. Whatever way, He speaks to us has to always be tested by God's Word. God will never contradict His Word. So even in Pittsburgh Standard Ministries, it is not a forever thing for me unless the Lord keeps showing us that we need to do it another year, etc. Most recently the Lord spoke to me through finishing the book, 'Tramp for the Lord' by Coorie Ten Boom.

I ask you now dear friend, what place do you give G.O.D.S  W.I L.L in your life?
Dear friend, the place you give God's Will in your life will determine how you live your life and the journey you take.

More than anything God's will for you and me is that we acknowledge that we are a sinner in need of a Savior. We need to know what happened at the cross. Yes friend, at the cross Jesus died for you and me that we could have eternal life when we pass through this life. Jesus' blood was shed for you and me to wash us of all our sin. It was God's will to send Jesus to the cross so we can be saved by the sacrifice of His only begotten Son. We need to accept His gift of Grace and believe in Him.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have Everlasting Life!" (John 3:16)

Friend, God does not want us to have eternal death forever. As Jesus told Jairus, 'don't be afraid, just believe' for his daughter's life, God wants us to believe in what Jesus did on the cross for us to give us Eternal Life. Jesus paid the ransom for you and me on the cross.

I cannot emphasize this enough but our response should be to believe what Jesus did on the cross by acknowledging that we are a sinner in need of a Savior and only Jesus' blood can make us white as snow. Once we acknowledge the sinner we are, we need to confess and repent of our sin asking Jesus' precious cleansing Blood to cover over us. When we do that we are showing God that we do believe in what Jesus did for us and are asking Jesus to cover us in His blood. Now when God looks at us His judgment will pass over us because of what Jesus did for us.

When Jesus gave Jairus daughter life, Jesus is the one that took the initiative to give life. In the same way, when we are given Eternal Life, it is Jesus that took the initiative to give us that life when Jesus came back to life on the 3rd day to save. Christ's resurrection was God's will too and as complicated as it seems Jesus Christ came as God-incarnate to save humanity. Jesus wants to be the Lord and Savior of your life.

"God desires that none should perish but all come into repentance!"

Father God wants to save you friend. When we think about God's will we usually think about what is God's will for my life in terms of career, occupation, relationships, etc. God can reveal His will for us in those areas too and His will can be different for different people.

But, when it comes to Salvation, God's will is the same. He desires that none should perish but all come into repentance. This is what we call God's Universal Will. It is the same for everyone. God wants everyone to have Eternal life.

You may have questions about why then does not everyone come to Jesus and accept Him as their Lord and Personal Savior, if this is God's will for humanity?

That question is for another time. What is exciting to know right now is that God loves you so much and made a way for you to come to Him through Jesus Christ so when you call upon the Name of the Lord, you will be saved and you will receive the power of the Holy Spirit to guide and lead you.

Won't you now come to the Lord Jesus and receive His Salvation for now is the time of Salvation?

Prayer:
Dear Jesus, thank you for comforting Jairus and telling him not to be afraid but believe. Lord, help us to do the same when we believe in your will for something and get confused. Thank you Lord for your will to send Jesus to die for us, come back to life to save us, so we can have eternal life when we believe what Jesus did on the cross for us. You love us so much that you care for every facet of our being. Help us to follow your will and your timing and not our own. Help us to want your will always. Sometimes it can be easy to follow our own and think we are doing your will. Forgive us when we do that. Help us not to have peace when we are doing something that is not in your will. If it is in your will, help us to have that peace of mind as we go out in faith. Let us test that peace with your Word. We need your help Lord and depend on you and your promises. Thank you Jesus! We rest in you as we seek you first! Thank you for hearing us and answering us! I pray right now for all those that are confused about situations in their life. You alone Oh Lord can comfort them and bring clarity to their situation. Thank you for loving us and having your will for us and your timing for us. Those that are looking for the answers the way you reveal to them, please reveal it to them in your timing and give them your peace. Give me your peace Oh Lord. Thank you Jesus. We rest in you and in your promises. Thank you that you have heard our prayers and answered us! In Your Name I Pray Jesus! Amen!

May the Lord Jesus guide you in His love leading you! Amen!

No matter what you feel in your heart, know that Jesus has come in and resides with you! You are not alone! To make your walk strong with the Lord, spend time in prayer talking to Him as you would to a friend. You don’t need special words to talk to the Lord. Spend time in His Word reading Psalms and turning them into prayer. Next allow God to heal you and speak to you through the Gospel of John or Gospel of Mark before moving on to other Books of the Bible! Slowly, let the Lord show you to which Scriptures He wants you to go to next. It is also important to be part of a body of believers to help you grow in the faith. Find a Bible believing church that preaches the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation proclaiming Jesus Christ our crucified and risen Lord who brings us hope, healing, and help by His grace alone!
